SLAVERY It is a type social stratification and  is a form of forced labor in which people are considered to be the property of others, it is based on debt, punishment for violation of the law or defeat in battle.
CASTE It is also a kind of social stratification,in which status is determined by birth and is life long. Mostly caste system found in India.
Ascribed status is the basis of caste system. Societies with this form of stratification try to make certain that boundaries between castes remain firm by practicing endogamy and developing rules about ritual pollution, teaching that contact with inferior castes contaminates the superior caste.
CLAN It is a type of social stratification, it is a system that was common largely in agricultural societies. It is one in which an individual is linked to a large network of relatives.
A clan system is one in which the individual is linked to large network of relative. A clan system is one in which individual status depend on lineage linking the person to an extended network of relative.
Social class It is a type of social stratification, based primarily on the possession of money or material possession.
TYPES OF SOCIAL CLASS The Upper Class: the upper class is a tiny one containing the richest and most powerful people in the land. The Upper-Middle Class: the upper-middle class consist primarily of high income business and professional families. Member of this class are highly respectable. The Lower-Middle Class: the lower middle class shares most of the values of the upper-middle class, but its member lack the education or the economics advantage that would let them enjoy the same life style. The Working Class: the working class contain a high portion of relatively less educated people then the middle and the upper classes. The Lower Class: the lower class consist of “disreputable poor”.
Global STRATIFICATION  Global stratification is a general classification of nations into three main categories: 1 – The First World (Industrialized Capitalist nations) 2 – The Second World (Communist nations) 3 – The Third World (Any nation that didn’t fit in either categories) Although this classification is supposedly obsolete since the Cold war, but the terms First world and third world are still widely used.
