southern part of Poland, belongs to a major
industrial region. The capital of the
voivodeship is the city Katowice. It is the
most urbanized province in Poland...

many difficult and sad experiences. Its
varied past led to creating here a unique
mixture of nations, cultures and religions.

folk culture. Former customs, habits,
song and dances are presented during

of cooking and a specific dialect.

be more and more popular here. The Beskidy

over the Europe, where tourist routes are

most often visited place is the region of the
Krakowsko-Częstochowska upland, with its
picturesque linestone formations.

18. The town and municipality of Lubliniec are
located in the north-western part of the Silesian
province, in the middle section of the Woźniki
Hummock. The town is 56 km away from the
capital of the province – Katowice, 35 km away
from Częstochowa and 50 km from Opole.

19. Lubliniec has a favourable location in terms of its
traffic connections. In the town there is a large
railway junction, connecting Katowice with
Poznań and Częstochowa with Opole. The area
of the district is also intersected with the main
routes of road transport, making this town an
important strategic point on the map of Poland.
