Alexander was born in Macedonia in 356 BC to parents Phillip and Olympias. When his father Phillip was murdered in 336 BC, Alexander became king of Macedonia. He then took over the Persian Empire, conquering their towns and cities, until his death at age 32 or 33 while ruling a vast empire.
