3. Seminar Structure, Subjects and Timeline
Day ONE: “ The Airmechanized Concept”
Following an Introduction by LTG Riley, the Combined Arms Center
Commanding General, Russian, British and German Officers will brief their
country’s airmechanized force models. After learning what other nations have
accomplished in this arena of 3D maneuver warfare, BG (R) Grange will
present the Air-Mech-Strike proposal for a U.S. Army airmechanized capability.
Russian British German
Day TWO: “ The Art of the Possible”
Contractors and theorist will make presentations on vehicle and aircraft
concepts that could be useful in the transformation of the 101 st Division.
Current off-the-shelf designs, near-term technology insertions and entirely
new platforms will be discussed along with Future Combat Systems (FCS),
Future Transport Rotorcraft (FTR) and supporting Fixed-Wing and Sealift
concepts.
Day THREE:“ The Working Groups”
The critical task for the entire seminar is to define in the clear terms the
technical parameters of numbers, size, shape, weight, range, speed, tactical
capabilities, fielding timelines and estimated costs with the hardware
associated with transformation options for the 101 st Division and & EECP.
Teams will be organized with vehicle and aircraft representatives working
together to develop options and help Army Future Force Builders build the
“Feasibility Back Brief” for LTG Riley. (Static Displays of Options
Encouraged)
