2. Speed Time Distance
A runs along the sides AB and BC of a square ABCD of side 10 meters.
B runs along the diagonal of this square. At their current speeds, A
reaches 2 seconds ahead of B. If B travels at twice his original speed,
then B reaches 2 seconds ahead of A. What is B’s speed
approximately equal to?
(a) 1.75m/s (b) 3.5m/s
(c) 4m/s (d) 2.5m/s
3. Speed Time Distance
Solution:
A travels 20m, B travels 10 2m. Let the speeds at which they travel
be A and B
