Example:
Customer purchases 50 CS and 100 users.
1. The total licensed population is 250 users
(50 CS = 150 users + 100 users)
2. The system size that corresponds to 250 users is an S size
system
• When customers purchase a combination of User and Concurrent
Session licenses of SAP BusinessObjects Private Cloud Edition to be
deployed together, then SAP will deliver one system landscape to the
customer.
• Cloud Architects will determine the right system landscape to assign to
the customer based on the total licensed population.
• The calculation is done as follows:
1. Calculate total licensed population in “users” using CS = 3 users as
the conversion ratio*
2. Assign landscape according to following table:

 Following Best Practices are recommended for Business
Objects PCE reporting and performance in private cloud
scenario (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
 Recommendations for Business Objects 4.3 in
on-premise scenarios remain in place however ensure in
Private Cloud scenarios the network bandwidth and
performance meet the requirements when data sources are
not co-located.
 It is recommended for Azure, Google, AWS ( or any other
provider ) that their Point to Point Solutions are leveraged.
 Customer networks are treated as a private extension
Private Cloud setup.
 This will help ensure performance and response consistency
across the extended networks.
Network Performance Best Practices
Optimizing performance while hosted in private network
Extended LAN Recommendations:
 100 Mbps/ full duplex/ < 10 ms latency for any
Servers in the BOBJ Cluster for any remote Data
Source workloads being accessed and then
processed on the BOBJ Cluster.
WAN Recommendations:
 Min 8 Mbps/ < 60 ms latency. (1 Mbps/ < 200 ms)

Many customers use both solutions side by side enabled through hybrid
analytics integration.
To connect SAP Analytics Cloud to BusinessObjects Private Cloud Edition
the following components are required to be deployed in the managed
cloud environments:
• The SAP Cloud Connector
• The SAC Agent
• BusinessObjects Live Data Connect
The required components are now included as an optional deployment
with the Private Cloud Edition SKUs.
They are considered optional and not provisioned by default as some
customers may have them deployed as part of S/4HANA.
Please validate the technical requirements with the assigned CAA.
Typically only one instance is needed per customer.
