System
1st phase: How to Communicate
Students learn to exchange cards for desired items or activities.
2nd phase: Distance and Effort
Students are taught to communicate with different people, places
and to learn persistence.
3rd phase: Picture Discrimination
Multiple pictures are introduced in a notebook for student use.
Not every item is available on request.
4th phase: Sentence Structure Development
Students learn to construct simple sentences.
5th phase: Answering Questions from others
Students learn to respond to “What do you want?”
6th phase: Commenting on environment
Students express ideas such as “I see,” “I hear,” I feel.”
