It made me more self-reliant then I believe I would have otherwise been. At sixteen I took my first community college class, after doing well in that class I completed one more in the Spring semester. Then my senior year of high school I did completely at the College. Starting college at this age and continuing it since is one of the things that sets me apart from others. Following that year I took one more year at Arizona Western College, then I transferred here. That’s where I am now, a transfer student with 52 college credits some of which vary significantly. I plan to graduate with a Bachelors in Science in Business Accounting.

All of the time I have spent working has taught me to listen to those around me, they often know what they are talking about. It as also taught me to heed advice from management. It has shown me the value of hard work and perseverance, this is where I developed many of my ambitions and my steadfast drive to keep going. They range from working at the Mission to cleaning up the local fair grounds. The community service taught me to appreciate what I have, and instilled in me a greater respect for others in general. Community service has developed in me personal characteristics, such as a willingness to help and a appreciation of cultural and personal differences. These characteristics will benefit me when working with others, especially with those that are significantly different from myself.
13. Hands/Skills Skills American Red Cross CPR certified. Able to use Microsoft Office with proficiency. Able to use the cash register with a working knowledge. American Red Cross First Aid certified. I know the basics of technology. Handle small and large animals. I am American Red Cross CPR and First Aid certified. The certification was earned in the summer of 2010 in there week long course. Which I use to legally lifeguard for the City of Yuma Parks and Recreation. I use Microsoft Office in my almost daily note taking for all of my classes. I know the basics of technology, such as working the Xbox/Tv/computer/Cell phone/remote with proficiency. I can handle small and large animals, not just for the veterinarian clinic but I also showed them for years as a 4-H member. The CPR and First Aid are a valuable addition to any workplace. These skills are one of the things that set me apart.
14. Legs and Feet/Agility and Foundation The ability to respond quickly, creatively and responsibly is important in the course of business, as well as life. I acquired these abilities throughout my life starting with me having to grow up among my three sisters on a small farm, out in the county. Our family from what I can remember always had animals, so I got introduced to the concept of responsibility early. I learned to solve their problems and creatively meet the constant needs they had. The foundation of many my ambitions and dreams derived from either 4-H itself or they just began to take root in that time. Which isn’t so hard to believe since I was heavily involved in it from the age of nine till the end of High School. Every year as a group we collected food and as a group delivered it to one needy family. We did this for Thanksgiving and Christmas and each year we switched to a different family; seeing the gratitude and sheer happiness on their faces made it worth while experience that I would like to continue for some years to come.
15. Torso/Conclusion In conclusion the torso represents the interdependence of all of my different characteristics, experiences, and attributes. Just as the torso is the core of a being allowing the body to function, so this torso keeps the body and all its parts together and successful. The inter dependence of my traits; analytical, education, work experience, community service, skills, agility, and foundation are what set me apart. All these traits combined will help me in the future to pursue and succeed at any job. I plan to start as an accountant and work my way up in the world of business, and continue this upward mobility until I run my own Fortune 500 company.
