The model is based on following assumptions:
 Competent and motivated employees are needed to
provide quality products and services.
 The commitment and competencies of employees
can be developed.
 The HR competencies of HR and line managers play
an important role in the implementation of HR
practices and systems.
 The HRD culture created through HR practices and
systems and by HR professionals.
 The HR practices, systems, competencies, and
culture must be aligned with business goals.
HR audit is conducted to obtain a score on the HR
Scorecard.
It involves assessing each of the factors(HR systems
maturity, HR competencies, culture, and business
linkage) and assigning a score to each factor.
