ABP’s Accreditation Process
What is Accreditation

  Accreditation is a quality assurance process
   to ensure a successful learning experience
      for potential candidates following ABP
                   qualifications.

    Centres are assessed against standards to
       demonstrate their competence and
             performance capability.

The Focus of Accreditation

 Centre Approval – To confirm that a prospective
 centre has the managerial, administrative and
 physical resource infrastructure to credibly support
 student learning.

 Qualification Approval – To confirm that a
 prospective centre has the human and physical
 capacity to deliver subject/sector learning/teaching
 and carry out student assessments.

How Long Does Accreditation Take?


          The speed of accreditation is dependent
          upon the centre’s ability to complete the
         application, pay the fees in full and reach
           the standards set by ABP for approval.

               ABP

       ABP will provide the relevant forms for
       accreditation including;
        Centre Agreement form
        Centre Approval form
        Qualification Approval form or Centre
         Devised Qualification Form

Application – Submission of Forms
 and Payment of Fees by Centre

 Centres must;
  Submit appropriate forms in full
  Pay fees in full (including centre approval
   and qualification approval)
        Fees will be confirmed by ABP on application

Review of Application by ABP

      ABP will;
       Collate the information provided in the
        application
       Provide feedback
       Request further information if necessary
       Update on progress and explain next
        steps

Processing of Application by ABP


        Once the required criteria is met ABP will
         ensure all information provided by the
          centre, regarding the application, is
         available and accessible to the Quality
                Assurance Department.

Quality Assurance Assessment by
              ABP

        The Quality Assurance Department will
        examine and review the credibility of the
       application to ensure a successful learning
          experience for potential candidates
              following ABP qualifications.

Centre & Qualification Approval

       If approval is given by the Quality
       Assurance Department we will send the
       centre the;
        Welcome Pack
        Centre Approval Certificate & Letter
        Qualification Units
        Marketing Material

Centre & Qualification Approval

     When a centre has been accredited they
     can;
      Advertise ABP accreditation
      Advertise the qualification(s) they are
       approved to run
      Deliver the qualification(s) they are
       approved to run

After a centre is approved ABP will arrange;
 Regular External Quality Assurance visits
 Centre Support
 Regular updates on qualifications and
  developments at ABP
 Promotional activities for the centre
 Re-approval after a year
