Why did Aegon set up The Center for Longevity and Retirement?
In May 2015, Aegon announced the launch of the Aegon Center for Longevity and
Retirement (The Center) to demonstrate its commitment to retirement research and
reinforce its purpose of helping people take greater levels of personal responsibility for
their long-term financial security.

Our Mission and Who We Are
Our Mission
The Aegon Center for Longevity and Retirement's has been established to conduct
research, educate the public, and lead a global dialogue on trends, issues, and
opportunities surrounding longevity, population aging, and retirement security.
Who We Are
We are a collaboration of experts from Aegon’s businesses in Europe, the Americas
and Asia as well as third-party experts.

Our Partners in Research
The Center is based in The Hague in The Netherlands and
collaborates closely with Transamerica Institute, which has been
conducting research on retirement, health and aging in the United
States for more than a decade.
We also have relationships with respected partners in the field of
longevity and retirement, such as the Leyden Academy for Vitality
and Ageing and the Global Coalition on Aging.
We will also seek opportunities to work with other renowned
academics in the field of aging, demographic change and retirement
in order to strengthen its research and identify new uses for its data.
