3.  Did the new community features contribute to the success?

On the first prototype of UiTinVlaanderen community features were in the right hand bar. That's not the most looked at area of a web page… So we moved them…
Most test users didn't fully understand the 'community features'.
The solution: a short fly-out explanation. Now those users do understand it, and maybe some day, they will start using it too… Also: it doesn't disturb visitors who don't need the explanation.
