1. How & where to find events to go
Participating to events can be very useful directly or in a indirect way for your LC but for
AIESEC as a whole as well. For your LC, it can help you approach important key persons
that could help you close the partnerships you want or provide you with useful
information and ideas. For AIESEC, it increases the brand recognition and make people
interest about you and start looking for you.
Before I continue, I want to make a small remark: always remember to introduce yourself
as AIESEC, even if you don’t plan to approach anyone. People must now we are there ;)
Where to look for events
Open Coffees - you usually learn about them from business media, facebook, co-working
spaces newsletters
http://www.startup.gr/ - you can check their calendar. In addition, you can post your
events there & get informed about what’s hot in the Start Up industry + tips on how to
work better
http://www.emea.gr/
http://www.epixeiro.gr/ - events, tips, news, contests
Mycampus.gr - youth portal, promotes events often
Qualitynet.gr - focus on NGOs
This are the main medias (and their newsletters) I use to get informed. In addition to this,
I follow on social media a variety of medias so I always get informed about upcoming
events. Moreover, the more you go to events, the more you will build your network so
after a while you won’t need to check anything because people will tell you about them ;)
For events where we participate actively (speech, workshop, info desk etc. ) people
usually approach us or we find it out through our network and then approach them.
