The company created APIs for two models - a geomagnetism model that calculates magnetic fields anywhere on Earth, used for mineral exploration and navigation, and a space radiation model that calculates radiation exposure for spacecraft and astronauts. By making these scientific models easily accessible through web APIs, Amentum aims to boost adoption of the models and data while also helping developers integrate important scientific data into their applications more quickly.
