"When trees burn, they leave the smell of heartbreak in the air."
Biodiversity is all the different kinds of life you’ll find in one area—the variety of animals, plants, fungi, and even microorganisms like bacteria that make up our natural world. Each of these species and organisms work together in ecosystems, like an intricate web, to maintain balance and support life. Biodiversity supports everything in nature that we need to survive: food, clean water, medicine, and shelter.

3. Problems
Land use change, pollution, poor water
quality, chemical and waste contamination,
climate change and other causes of
ecosystem degradation all contribute to
biodiversity loss and, can pose considerable
threats to human health.

6. Wildlife Corridors
Wildlife corridors are connections across the
landscape that link up areas of habitat. They support
natural processes that occur in a healthy environment,
including the movement of species to find resources,
such as food and water.
7. PROVIDE SHELTER AND FOOD TO A RANGE OF
SPECIES LIKE BIRDS, ANIMALS, INSECTS AND
FUNGI
Trees provide shelter and food for a variety of birds and
small animals, such as squirrels and beavers. Bacteria
and fungi contained in tree parts cause decay which
makes nesting easier for some birds and increases soil
fertility and structure for furrowing by other land animals.
8. HELP OUR NATIVE TREE
SPECIES SURVIVE
Tree plantation creates microclimate help the native tree species
survive. Indigenous forest tree species are those which have
evolved in the same area, region, or biotype where the forest stand
is growing and are adapted to the specific ecological conditions
predominant at the time of the establishment of the stand.
10. FLORA AND FAUNA SPECIES
PROTECTION
Trees support the lives of many large organisms.
Trees are used for food, shelter, and sites for
reproduction of many animals. On the other
hand, provide shade for understory plants.
11. Conclusion
Trees provide soil and water conservation, facilitate
carbon sequestration, improve biodiversity and
increase the number of pollinators and natural pest
predators, like birds.
12. Recommendation
It is necessary that we will plant more trees because the roots of trees hold the
soil in place as it fights erosion that causes landslide. It also absorbs and store
rainwater that helps reduce runoff and sediment deposit after the storms.
Moreover, helps recharge ground water supply, prevents transport of chemicals
into streams as well as prevents flooding. Its fruits provide food while its fallen
leaves also make good compost and improve the quality of soil.
