3. áÑ ,AØáw éÄâ¾ CÏãQ áVåoáÏẠØXéÂB áÀãWéÒâ»ãQ áÑ ,AØáw êÄâ¾ CÏá éÁál áÑ ,AØáw êÄâ¾ CÏá á°á£ág And by Thy power by which Thou overcometh all things and submit to it all things and humble before it all things
4. ,èAØáw éÄâ¾ CÏãQ áYåRáÃá² Ø~~ãXéÂB áÀãWÑâoáRá`ãQ áÑ And by Thy might by which thou hast conquered all things
5. , çAØáw CÏá âÅÒâ»áÖÙ ØãXéÂB áÀãWéqã¯ãQ áÑ And by Thy majesty against which nothing can stand up
6. ,èAØáw éÄâ¾ åVÜáÆ Ø~~~~~~ãXéÂB áÀãXáÇá«á¯ãQ áÑ And by Thy grandeur which prevails upon all things
7. ,èAØáw êÄâ¾ Úá® ÕãméÂB áÀãÊCá§åÃâtãQ áÑ And by Thy authority which is exercised over all things
8. ,èAØáw ëÄâ¾ ãACËᶠák~~~~å¯áQ ØãºCRÂB áÀãÏå_áÒãQ áÑ And by Thy own self that shall endure forever after all things have vanished
9. ,èAØáw ëÄâ¾ áÉC¾ånF åVÜáÆ ØãXéÂB áÀãMCÇåsGãQ áÑ And by Thy Names which manifest Thy power over all things
10. ,èAØáw ëÄâ¿ãQ á¦CcF Õãm~~~~é~ÂB áÀãÇåÃã¯ãQ áÑ And by Thy knowledge which pervades all things
11. .èAØáw êÄâ¾ âÐá áAC¢F ÕãméÂB áÀãÏå_áÑ ãnÒâËãQ áÑ And by the light of Thy countenance which illuminates everything
12. ,ârÑêk⺠CÖ ânÒâÊ CÖ O Thou who art the light! O Thou who art the most Holy!
13. CÖ áÑ ,áÌ~~~×ãÂéÑÛB áÁéÑF CÖ .áÌ~ÖoãgÝB áoãgD O Thou who existed before the foremost! O Thou who shall exist after the last!
14. âÀ~~~~ã~XåÏáW ØãXéÂB áPÒâÊêmÂB áØã åoã·å²H éÈâÏäÃÂB ,áÈá|ã¯ÂB O Allah! Forgive me my such sins as would affront my continency
15. ,áÈá»ëËÂB âÁãqåËâW ØãXéÂB áPÒâÊêmÂB áØã åoã·å²H éÈâÏäÃÂB O Allah! Forgive me my such sins as would bring down calamity
16. ,áÈá¯ëËÂB âoë×á³âW Ø~~~ã~XéÂB áPÒâÊêmÂB áØã åoã·å²H éÈâÏäÃÂB O Allah! Forgive me my such sins as would change divine favours (into disfavours)
17. ,áAC®êkÂB âuãRådáW ØãXéÂB áPÒâÊêmÂB áØã åoã·å²H éÈâÏäÃÂB O Allah! Forgive me my such sins as would hinder my supplication
18. ,áAÚáRÂB âÁãqåËâW ØãXéÂB áPÒâÊêmÂB áØã åoã·å²H éÈâÏäÃÂB O Allah! Forgive me such sins as bring down misfortunes (or afflictions) O Allah! Forgive my such sins as would suppress hope
19. éÄâ¾ áÑ ,âÐâXåRáÊålF èSåÊál éÄâ¾ áØã åoã·å²H éÈâÏäÃÂB ,CÏ~~~~â~WG§~ågF èUN×ã§ág O Allah! Forgive every sin that I have committed and every error that I have erred
20. ,á½ãoå¾ãmãQ áÀ×áÂH âPéoá»áWF ØëÊH éÈâÏäÃÂB O Allah! I endeavour to draw myself nigh to Thee through Thy invocation
21. ,áÀãtå·áÊ ÔÂH áÀãQ â°ã·åxáXåsF áÑ And I pray to Thee to intercede on my behalf
22. ,áÀãQåo⺠åÌãÆ ØãËá×ãÊåkâW åÉF á½ãjÒâ`ãQ áÀâÂGåsF áÑ And I entreat Thee by Thy benevolence to draw me nearer to Thee
23. ,á½áoå¿âw ØËá®ãpÒâW åÉF áÑ .á½áoå¾ãl ØËáÇãÏåÃâW åÉF áÑ And grant me that I should be grateful to Thee and inspire me to remember and to invoke Thee
24. èÄëÂámáXâÆ è°ã¢Cg áÁBKâs áÀâÂGåsF ØëÊH éÈâÏäÃÂB ,è°ãwCg O Allah! I entreat Thee begging Thee submissively, humbly and awestrickenly
25. ØËáÃá¯å`áW áÑ ,ØËáÇácåoáW áÑ ØËádãÆCátâW åÉF ,æC¯ãÊCº æC×ã¢Bán áÀãÇåtã»ãQ To treat me with clemency and mercy, and to make me pleased and contented with what Thou hast allotted to me
27. ,âÐâXáºC¶ åVékáXåwH åÌáÆ áÁBKâs áÀâÂGåsF áÑ éÈâÏäÃÂB O Allah! I beg Thee as one who is passing through extreme privation
28. áÈâ«á® áÑ âÐáXá_Cc ãkãMBk~~~~~~~éxÂB ákåËã® áÀãQ áÁáqåÊF áÑ .âÐâXáRå²án á½ákåËã® CÇ׶ and who supplicates his needs to Thee and his hope has been greatly raised by that which is with Thee
29. ,áÀâÊC¿áÆ Úá® áÑ ,áÀâÊC§åÃâs áÈâ«á® éÈâÏäÃÂB O Allah! Great is Thy kingdom and exalted is Thy greatness
30. áSáÃá² áÑ ,á½âoåÆF áoáÏ᪠áÑ ,á½âoå¿áÆ áØã·ág áÑ Thy plan is secret, Thy authority is manifest, Thy might is victorious
31. âÌã¿åÇâÖ Ù áÑ ,áÀâWánåk⺠åVáoá_ áÑ ,á½âoåÏẠ.áÀãXáÆÒâ¿âc åÌãÆ ânBáoã·ÂB and subduing and Thy power is prevalent throughout and it is not possible to escape from Thy dominion
32. ØãdãMCRá»ã ٠áÑ ,æBoã¶C² ØãQÒâÊâmã âkã_F Ù ÈâÏäÃÂBé ,æBoãWCs O Allah! Except Thee I do not find any one able to pardon my sins nor to conceal my loathsome acts
33. ãÌátádÂCãQ ãe~~~~×ãRá»ÂB ØãÃáÇá® åÌãÆ èAØáxã ٠áÑ ,á½áoå×á² æÙëkáRâÆ Nor have I any one except Thee to change my evil deeds into virtues
42. âAÒâs åØãQ á¦áoå¶F áÑ ,ØãMÚáQ áÈâ«á® éÈâÏäÃÂB ,ØãÂCc O Allah! My trails and sufferings have increased and my evilness has worsened,
43. ØãQ åVáká¯áº áÑ ,ØãÂCáÇå®F åØãQ åVáoâ|ẠáÑ ,ØãÂÚå²F my good deeds have diminished and my yokes (of misdeeds) have become firm
44. áÑ ,ØãÂCÆD âkå¯âQ Øã¯å·áÊ åÌá® ØãËátáRác áÑ And remote hopes restrain me to profit (by good deeds) and the
45. Øãtå·áÊ áÑ ,CÎãnÑâoâ³ãQ C×åÊêkÂB åØãËåXá®ákág ØãÂC§ãÆ áÑ ,CÏãXáÊC×ãhãQ world has deceived me with its allurements and my own self has been affected by treachery and procrastination
46. Ù åÉF ,áÀãWéqã¯ãQ áÀâÃáNåsGᶠ,Õãkë×~~~á~s CÖ ,ØãÂCá¯ã¶ áÑ ØãÃáÇá® âAÒâs ØãMC®âj áÀåËá® áSâ`ådáÖ Therefore, my Lord! I implore Thee by Thy greatness not to let my sins and my misdeeds
47. åÌãÆ ãÐå×áÃá® áYå¯áÃé¦B CÆ ëØã·áhãQ ØãËådá£å·áW Ù áÑ shut out access to my prayers from reaching
48. CÆ ÔáÃá® ãUáQÒâ»â¯ÂCãQ ØãËåÃã_Cá¯âW Ù áÑ ,Õëoãs áÑ ØãÃå¯ã¶ ãAÒâs åÌ~~~ã~Æ ,ØãWBÒáÃág Ø㶠âÐâXåÃãÇá® Thy realm and not to disgrace me by exposing those (hidden ones) of which Thou hast knowledge nor to hasten my retribution
49. ,ØãXáÂCÏá_ áÑ Øã§Öãoå·áW ãÅBÑáj áÑ ,ØãWáAC~~~~~sH ØãXáÃå·á² áÑ ØãWBÒáÏ~~~á~w ãTáoå¾ áÑ for those vices and misdeeds committed by me in secret which were due to evilmindedness, ignorance, excessive lustfulness and my negligence
50. ãÁBáÒåcÛB ëÄâ¾ Ø㶠Øã áÀãWéqã¯ãQ éÈâÏäÃÂB ãÌâ¾ áÑ ,æC¶Òâ§á® ãnÒâÆÛB ã°~~~×ãÇá_ Ø㶠éØáÃá® áÑ ,æC¶ÑâJán O Allah! I beg Thee by Thy greatness to be compassionate to me in all circumstances and well disposed towards me in all matters
51. á¸~~åxá¾ âÐâÂGåsF á½âoå×á² Øã åÌáÆ ØëQán áÑ ØãÏÂH ,ÕãoåÆF Ø㶠áo~~~~~á«éËÂB áÑ ,Õëo⢠My God! My Nourisher! Have I anyone except Thee from whom I can seek the dislodging of my evils and understanding of my problems?
52. âYå¯áRéWH æCÇå¿âc éØáÃá® áYåÖáoå_F áÕÙåÒáÆ áÑ ØãÏÂH ,Øãtå·áÊ ÓáÒáÎ ãÐ×㶠My God! My Master! Thou decreed a law for me but instead I obeyed my own low desires
53. åÌ~~~ãÆ ãÐ×㶠årãoáXåcF åÈá áÑ ,ÕêÑâk~~á~® ãÌ×ãÖåqáW And I did not guard myself against the allurements of my enemy
54. áÀãÂál ÔáÃá® âÍáká¯~~~~åsF áÑ ÓáÒåÎF CÇãQ ØãÊéoá³á¶ ,âAC£á»ÂB He deceived me with vain hopes whereby I was led astray and fate helped him in that respect
55. á¤å¯áQ áÀãÂál åÌãÆ éØáÃá® Óáoá_ CÇãQ âVåpáÑC`áXᶠáÀáÃᶠ,á½ãoãÆBáÑF á¤å¯áQ âYå·áÂCág áÑ ,á½ãjÑâkâc Thus I transgressed some of its limits set for me by Thee and I disobeyed some of Thy commandments;
56. áUé`âc Ù áÑ áÀãÂál ã°×ãÇá_ Ø㶠éØáÃá® âUé`âdÂB ,á½âJC£áº ãÐ×㶠éØáÃá® Óáoá_ CÇ×㶠Øã Thou hast therefore a (just) cause against me in all those matters and I have no plea against Thy judgement passed against me
57. ,á½âJÚáQ áÑ áÀâÇå¿âc ØãËáÆáqåÂF áÑ I have therefore become (justifiably) liable to Thy judgement and afflictions
58. áÑ Õão×ã|å»áW ákå¯áQ ØãÏÂH CÖ áÀâXå×áWF åkẠáÑ ,æCÆãjCáÊ æBnãmáXå¯âÆ ,Øãtå·áÊ ÔáÃá® Øã¶BáoåsH But now I have turned Thee, my Lord, after being guilty of omissions and transgressions against my soul, apologetically, repentantly,
59. ,æBëoã»âÆ ,æCRå×ãËâÆ ,æBoã·å³áXåtâÆ ,æÚ×ã»áXåtâÆ ,æBoãtá¿åËâÆ áÉCá¾ CéÇãÆ æBéoá·áÆ âkã_F Ù ,æC¶ãoáXå¯âÆ ,æCËã®åmâÆ broken heartedly, entreating earnestly for forgiveness, yieldingly confessing (to my guilt) as I can find no escape from that which was
60. ,ÕãoåÆF Ø㶠ãÐå×áÂH âÐé_áÒáWF æC®áqå·áÆ Ù áÑ ,ØëËãÆ done by me and having no refuge to which I could turn except
61. Ø㶠áÕCéÖH áÀãÂCágåjH áÑ ,Õãnåmâ® áÀãÂÒâRẠáoå×á² .áÀãXáÇåcán åÌãÆ èUá¯ás seeking Thy acceptance of my excuse and admitting me into the realm of Thy capacious mercy
62. ,Õëo⢠áTékãw åÈácånB áÑ ,Õãnåmâ® åÄáRåºCᶠéÈâÏäÃÂB ,ØãºC[ãÑ ëkáw åÌãÆ ØãËé¿â¶ áÑ O Allah! Accept my apology and have pity on my intense sufferings and set me free from my heavy fetters (of evil deeds)
63. áUéºãn áÑ ,ØãÊákáQ á¸å¯á¢ åÈácånB ëPán C~á~Ö ,ØãÇå«á® áUéºãj áÑ ,ÕãkåÃã_ My Nourisher! Have mercy on the infirmity of my body, the delicacy of my skin and the brittleness of my bones
64. áÑ ØãXá×ãQåoáW áÑ Õãoå¾ãl áÑ Øã»åÃág FákáQ åÌáÆ C~~Ö O' Thou! Who originated my creation and (accorded me) my individuality, and (ensured) my upbringing and welfare
65. áÑ ,áÀãÆáoá¾ ãABkãXåQãÙ ØãËåRáÎ ,ØãXáÖãmå³áW áÑ ÕëoãQ ,ØãQ á½ëoãQ ã¸ãÂCs (and provided) my sustenance (I beg Thee) to restore Thy favours and blessings upon me as Thou didst in the beginning of my life
66. ØãQëmá¯âÆ á½BáoâWF ,ØëQán áÑ Õãkë×ás áÑ ØãÏÂH CÖ O' my God! My master! My Lord! And my Nourisher! What! Wilt thou see me punished
67. ãÐå×áÃá® ÓÒá§åÊB CÆákå¯ãQ áÑ ,á½ãk×ãcåÒáW ákå¯áQ á½ãnCáËãQ with the fire kindled by Thee despite my belief in Thy unity? And despite the fact that my
68. åÌãÆ ØãÊCtã ãÐãQ áaãÏá áÑ ,áÀãXá¶ãoå¯áÆ åÌãÆ ØRåÃẠheart has been filled with (pure) knowledge of Thee and when my tongue has repeatedly
69. áÑ ,áÀëRâc åÌãÆ Õão×ãÇᢠâÍáká»áXå®B áÑ ,á½ãoå¾ãl praised Thee and my conscience has acknowledged Thy love and
70. æC¯ã¢Cg ,ØãMC®âj áÑ Øã¶BoãX®B ã¹åkã{ ákå¯áQ ,áÀáXé×ãQÒâQâoã despite my sincere confessions (of my sins) and my humble entreaties submissively made to Thy divinity?
71. åÌáÆ á°ë×á£âW åÉF åÌãÆ âÅáoå¾F áY~~å~ÊF ,áVCÏå×áÎ ,âÐáXå×éQán Nay, Thou art far too kind and generous to destroy one whom thyself nourished and supported,
72. åÌáÆ ájëoáxâW åÑF ,âÐáXå×áÊåjF åÌáÆ ákë¯áRâW åÑF or to drive away from Thyself one whom Thou has kept under Thy protection,
73. áÑ âÐáXå×á·á¾ åÌáÆ ãAÚáRÂB ÔáÂH áÈëÃátâW åÑF ,âÐ~~~á~XåÖáÑD ,âÐáXåÇãcán or to scare away one whom Thy self hast given shelter, or to abandon in affliction one Thou hast maintained and to whom Thou hast been merciful
74. ,áÕÙåÒáÆ áÑ ØãÏÂH áÑ Õãkë×ás CÖ Õãoå¯ãw áYå×áÂáÑ áÀãXáÇá«á¯ã åVéo~~á~g èÍÒ~~â_âÑ ÔÃá® ánCéËÂB â¨ëÃátâWF I wish I had known o' my Master, my God and my Lord! Wilt Thou inflict fire upon faces which have submissively bowed in
75. åYá»á§áÊ èÌ~â~tÂF Ô~~~á~Ãá® áÑ ,æTákã_C~~~~~á~s áÑ ,æUácãjCÆ á½ãoå¿ãxâQ áÑ ,æUáºãjC{ á½ãk×ãcåÒáXãQ prostration to Thy greatness, or upon the tongues which have sincerely confirmed Thy unity and have always expressed gratitude to Thee,
76. ÔÃá® áÑ ,æUá»ë»ádâÆ áÀãXé×ãÏÂIãQ åYá¶áoáXå®B èPåÒâÃ⺠ÔáÃá® or upon hearts which have acknowledged Thy divinity with conviction, or upon
77. åVánCá{ ÔéXác ,áÀãQ ãÈåÃã¯ÂB áÌãÆ åVáÒác áoãMCÇᢠthe minds which accumulated so much knowledge of Thee until they became
78. ÔáÂH åYá¯~~~á~s ábãnBáÒá_ ÔÃá® áÑ ,æUá¯ãwCg åVánC~~wF áÑ ,æUá¯ãMC¦ á½ãkêRá¯áW ãÉC¦åÑF submissive to Thee, or upon the limbs which strove, at the places appointed for Thy worship, to adore Thee
80. áÀãÃå£á·ãQ CÊåoãRågâF Ù áÑ ,áÀãQ êÌé«ÂB Bmá¿Î CÆ ,âÈåÖãoá¾ CÖ ,áÀåËá® Such sort (of harshness) is not expected from Thee as it is remote from Thy grace, o' generous one!
81. åÌãÆ èÄ×ãÃẠåÌá® Øã·å¯á¢ âÈáÃå¯áW áYåÊF áÑ ëPán CÖ CÏ×㶠Õãoå`áÖ CÆ áÑ ,CÏãWCQåÒâ»â® áÑ C×åÊêkÂB ãAÚáQ O' Lord! Thou art aware of my weakness to bear even a minor affliction of this world and its consequence and adversity affecting
82. çAÚáQ áÀãÂl éÉF ÔÃá® ,CÏãÃåÎF ÔÃá® ãÍãnC¿áÇÂB áÌãÆ ço×|Ạ,âÍJC»áQ ço×ãtáÖ ,âÐâ¿áÆ çÄ×ãÃẠ,çÍÑâoå¿áÆ áÑ ,âÐâWékâÆ the denizen of this earth, although such afflictions are momentary, short-lived and transient
83. ãÄ×ãÃá_ áÑ ,ãTáoãgÝB ãAÚáRã ØãÂCÇãXåcB á¸å×á¿á¶ âÁÒâ§áW çAÚáQ áÒâÎ áÑ ,CÏ×㶠ãÍãnC¿áÇÂB ãÒâºâÑ How then can I bear the retributions and the punishments of the hereafter which are enormous and of intensive sufferings,
84. åÌá® â¸é·áhâÖ ÙáÑ ,âÐâÆC»áÆ âÅÑâkáÖ áÑ ,âÐâWékâÆ of prolonged period and perpetual duration, and which shall never be alleviated for
85. áÑ áÀãRá£á² åÌá® ÙH âÉÒâ¿áÖ Ù âÐéÊÛ ,ãÐãÃåÎF those who deserve the same as those retributions will be the result of Thy wrath;
86. âÐá âÅÒâ»áW Ù CÆ BmÎ áÑ ,áÀã§áhás áÑ áÀãÆC»ãXåÊB ,â¡ånÛB áÑ âVBÑCÇétÂB and Thy punishment which neither the heavens nor the earth can withstand and bear!
87. â¸×ã¯é£ÂB á½âkåRá® CÊF áÑ ØãQ á¸å×á¿á¶ ,Õãkë×ás CÖ ,âÌ×ã¿áXåtâÇÂB ,âÌ×ã¿åtãÇÂB ,âo×ã»ádÂB âÄ×ãÂémÂB My Lord! How can I, a weak, insignificant, humble, poor and destitute creature of Thine be able to bear them?
88. ëÕÛ ,áÕÙåÒáÆ áÑ Õãkë×ás áÑ ØëQán áÑ ØãÏÂH CÖ O' my God! My Lord! My King! And Master! Which of
89. áÑ êaã¢F CÏåËãÆ CÇã áÑ ,Òâ¿åwF áÀå×áÂH ãnÒâÆÛB ,Øã¿åQF the matters shall I complain to Thee and for which of them shall I bewail and weep?
90. áÑ ãAÚáRÂB ãÁÒâ§ã åÅF ,ãÐãWékãw áÑ ãPBmá¯ÂB ãÈ×ãÂÛ ,ãÐãWékâÆ Shall I bewail for the pains and pangs of the punishment and their intensity or for the length of sufferings and their duration?
91. áÑ ,áÀãMBkå®F á°áÆ ãVCQÒâ»â¯åÃã ØãËáWåoé×á{ åÌãNáÃᶠáYåºéoᶠáÑ ,áÀãMÚáQ ãÄåÎF áÌå×áQ áÑ ØãËå×áQ áYå¯áÇá_ Therefore (my Lord!) If Thou wilt subject me to the penalties (of hell) in company of Thy enemies and cast me with those who merited Thy punishments
92. CÖ ØãËåRáÏᶠ,áÀãMC×ãÂåÑF áÑ áÀãMCéRãcF áÌå×áQ áÑ ØãËå×áQ âVåoáRá{ ,ØëQán áÑ áÕÙåÒáÆ áÑ Õãkë×ás áÑ ØãÏÂH and tear me apart from Thy friends and those who will be near to Thee, then my God, my Lord and my Master,
93. ,áÀãºBo㶠ÔÃá® âoãRå{F á¸å×á¿á¶ ,áÀãQBámá® ÔÃá® though I may patiently bear Thy punishments, how can I calmly accept being kept away from Thee?
94. á¸å×á¿á¶ ,á½ãnCÊ ëoác ÔÃá® âVåoáRá{ ØãËåRáÎ áÑ I reckon that though I may patiently endure the scorching fire of Thy hell,

97. áfBoâ{ áÀå×áÂH éÌá~~gâoå{Û áÑ ,áÌå×ãÃãÆÝB áaå×ã`ᢠI shall amongst its inmates cry out bewailingly unto Thee like the cry of those who have faith in Thy kindness and compassion
98. áAC~~~~~~~á¿âQ áÀå×áÃá® éÌá×ã¿åQÛ áÑ ,áÌ×ãgãoå|áX~~~åtâÇÂB ,áÌÖãkãºC·ÂB And I shall bemoan for Thee (for being deprived of nearness to Thee) the lamentation of those who are bereaved,
99. ,áÌ×ãËãÆåKâÇÂB éØãÂáÑ CÖ ,áYåËâ¾ áÌåÖF áÀéËáÖãjCÊâÛ áÑ and I shall keep on calling unto Thee: "Where art Thou o' Friend of the believers!
100. ,áÌ×ã¶ãnC¯ÂB ãÁCÆD áUáÖC² CÖ O' (Thou who art) the last hope and resort of those who acknowledge Thee and have faith in Thy clemency and kindness;

105. ,ãÐãXá×ã|å¯áÇãQ CÏãQBmá® áÈå¯á¦ á¹Bl áÑ ,ãÐãXá·áÂChâÇãQ áÑ ,ãÐãWáoåÖãoá_ áÑ ãÐãÆåoâ`ãQ CÏãºCRå¦F áÌå×áQ áuãRâc áÑ incarcerated therein (the hell) for his disobedience and imprisoned within its pits for his evildoings and misdeeds, crying out to Thee
106. áÑ ,áÀãXáÇåcáoã èÄëÆáKâÆ áaå×ã`ᢠáÀå×áÂH êaã£áÖ áÒâÎ âÄésáÒáXáÖ áÑ ,á½ãk×ãcåÒáW ãÄåÎF ãÉCtãÃãQ áÀåÖãjCËâÖ the utterance of one who has faith in Thy mercy and calling out to Thee in the language of those who believe in Thy unity
107. ,áÀãXé×ãQÒâQâoãQ áÀå×áÂH and seeking to approach Thee by means of Thy epithet "the Creator, the Nourisher, the Accomplisher and the Protector of the entire existence"?
108. áÒâÎ áÑ ãPBmá¯ÂB Ø㶠ԻåRáÖ á¸å×á¿á¶ áÕÙåÒáÆ CÖ ,áÀãÇåÃãc åÌãÆ á¸áÃás CÆ Òâ_åoáÖ My Lord! Then how could he remain in torments when he hopefully relies upon Thy past forbearance, compassion and mercy?
109. áÑ áÀáÃå£á¶ âÄâÆGÖ áÒâÎ áÑ ânCéËÂB âÐâÇãÂåKâW á¸å×á¾ åÅF And how can the fire cause him suffering when he hopes for Thy grace
110. áYåÊF áÑ CáÏâRå×ãÏá âÐâºãoådâÖ á¸å×á¾ åÅF ,áÀáXáÇåcán á¸å×á¾ åÅF ,âÐáÊC¿áÆ ÓoáW áÑ âÐáWåÒá{ â°áÇåtáW and mercy and how can its roaring flames char him when Thou hearest his voice and sees his plight?
111. åÅF ,âÐá·å¯á¢ âÈáÃå¯áW áYåÊF áÑ CÎâo×ã¶áp ãÐå×áÃá® âÄãÇáXåxáÖ âÈáÃå¯áW áYåÊF áÑ CÏãºCRå¦F áÌå×áQ âÄá»åÃá»áXáÖ á¸å×á¾ And how can he withstand its roaring flames when Thou knowest his frailness? And how can he be tossed about between its layers when Thou knowest
112. áÒâÎ áÑ CÏâXá×ãÊCQáp âÍâoâ_åqáW á¸å×á¾ åÅF ,âÐáºåkã{ ,âÍCéQán CÖ áÀÖãjCËâÖ his sincerity? And how can the guards of hell threaten him when he calls out to Thee? "My Lord",
113. âÐá¾âoåXáXᶠCÏåËãÆ ãÐã»åXã® Ø㶠áÀáÃå£á¶ Òâ_åoáÖ á¸å×á¾ åÅF CÏå×㶠And how would Thou abandon him therein (the hell) when he has faith in Thy grace to set him free?
114. âµÑâoå¯áÇÂB Ù áÑ ,áÀãQ âÌé~«ÂB áÀãÂl CÆ áVCÏå×áÎ Alas! That is not the concept (held by us) of Thee nor has Thy grace such a reputation nor does it resemble
115. ãÐãQ áYå~ÃáÆC® CÇã äÐãRåxâÆ Ù áÑ ,áÀãÃå£á¶ åÌãÆ .áÀãÊCtåcH áÑ á½éoãQ åÌãÆ áÌÖãkëcáÒâÇÂB that which Thou hast awarded by Thy kindness and generosity to those who believe in Thy unity
116. åÌãÆ ãÐãQ áYåÇá¿ác CÆ ÙåÒá â°á§åºF ãÌ×ã»á×ÂCãRᶠI definitely conclude that hadst Thou not ordained punishment for those who disbelieved in Thee,
117. ãjÚågH åÌãÆ ãÐãQ áYå×á£áº áÑ ,áÀÖãkãcC_ ãSÖãmå¯áW and hadst Thou not decreed Thy enemies to remain in hell,
118. áÑ æBjåoáQ CÏáÃâ¾ ánCéËÂB áYå~Ãá¯á`á ,áÀÖãkãÊC¯âÆ Thou wouldst have made the hell cold and
119. Ù áÑ æBéoá»áÆ CÏ×㶠èkácÛ áÉC¾ CÆ áÑ ,æCÆÚás peaceful and there would never have been an abode
120. åÉF áYåÇátåºF á½âJCÇåsF åYáséká»áW áÀéËã¿Â ,æCÆC»âÆ or place for any one in it; but sanctified be Thy Names, Thou hast sworn
121. ãrCéËÂB áÑ ãUéËã`ÂB áÌãÆ áÌÖãoã¶C¿ÂB áÌãÆ CÎÜåÇáW ,áÌÖãkãÊC¯âÇÂB CÏ×㶠ákëÃáhâW åÉF áÑ ,áÌ×ã¯áÇå_F to fill the hell with the disbelievers from amongst the jinns and mankind together and to place forever Thy enemies therein
122. áYåÂéÒá§áW áÑ æCMãkáXåRâÆ áYåÃ⺠á½âJCËá[ éÄá_ áYåÊF áÑ And Thou, exalted be Thy praises, hadst made manifest,
123. åÌáÇá¾ æCËãÆåKâÆ áÉC¾ åÌáÇá¶Fþ ,æCÆëoá¿áXâÆ ãÅC¯åÊßCãQ ýáÉÑâÒáXåtáÖ Ù æC»ãsC¶ áÉC¾ out of Thy generosity and kindness, that a believer is not like unto him who is an evil-liver
124. ØãXäÂB ãTánåkâ»åÂCãQ áÀâÂGåsG¶ Õãkë×ás áÑ ØãÏÂH ,CÏáWånékẠMy Lord! My Master! I, therefore implore Thee by that power which Thou determineth
125. áÑ CÏáXåÇáXác ØãXäÂB ãUé×ã£á»ÂCãQ áÑ and by the decree which Thou hast finalised and ordained whereby
126. åÉF ,CÏáXåÖáoå_F ãÐå×áÃá® åÌáÆ áYåRáÃá² áÑ ,CÏáXåÇá¿ác ãUá®CätÂB ãÍãmÎ Ø㶠áÑ ãÐáÃå×äÃÂB ãÍãmÎ Ø㶠Øã áSáÏáW Thou hath prevailed upon whom Thou hast imposed it, to bestow upon me this night and this very hour
127. áÑ ,âÐâXåRáÊålF èSåÊál éÄâ¾ áÑ ,âÐâXåÆáoå_F èÅåoâ_ éÄâ¾ the forgiveness for all the transgressions that I have been guilty of, for all the sins that I have committed,
128. ,âÐâXåÃãÇá® èÄåÏá_ éÄâ¾ áÑ ,âÐâWånáoåsF èeå×ãRẠéÄâ¾ for all the loathsome acts that I have kept secret and for all the evils done by me,
129. éÄâ¾ áÑ ,âÐâWåoáÏå~ªF åÑF âÐâXå×á·ågF âÐâXåËáÃå®F åÑF âÐâXåÇáXá¾ ,áÌ×ãRãWC¿ÂB áÅBáoã¿ÂB CÏãWCRå[IãQ áVåoáÆF èUáNë×ás secretly or openly, in concealment or outwardly and for every evil action that Thou hast ordered the two noble scribes to confirm
130. áÑ ,ØëËãÆ âÉÒâ¿áÖ CÆ ã«å·ãdãQ åÈâÏáXåÃé¾áÑ áÌÖãmäÂB áYåËâ¾ áÑ ,ØãcãnBÒá_ á°áÆ éØáÃá® æBjÒâÏâw åÈâÏáXåÃá¯á_ whom Thou hast appointed to record all my actions and to be witnesses over me along with the limbs of my body, whilst Thou observeth
131. ákãÎCéxÂB áÑ ,åÈãÏãMBnáÑ åÌãÆ éØáÃá® áSå×ãºäoÂB áYåÊF ,åÈâÏåËá® áØã·ág CÇã over me besides them and wast witness to those acts concealed from them?
132. ,âÐáWåoáXás áÀãÃå£á·ãQ áÑ ,âÐáXå×á·ågF áÀãXáÇåcáoãQ áÑ Which Thou in Thy mercy hast kept secret and through Thy kindness unexposed
133. åÑF ,âÐáXåÂáqåÊF èoå×ág ëÄâ¾ åÌãÆ Øë«ác áoë¶áÒâW åÉF áÑ And I pray to Thee to make my share plentiful in all the good that Thou dost bestow;
134. è¹åpãn åÑF ,âÐáWåoáxáÊ èäoãQ åÑF ,âÐáXåÃé£á¶ èÉCtåcH in all the favours that Thou dost grant; and in all the virtues that Thou dost allow to be known everywhere; and in all the sustenance and livelihood
135. ,âÍâoâXåtáW èI§ág åÑF ,âÍâoã·å³áW èSåÊál åÑF ,âÐáXå§átáQ that Thou dost expand and in respect of all the sins that Thou dost forgive and the wrongs that Thou dost cover up
136. ,ëPán CÖ ëPán CÖ ëPán CÖ O' Lord! O' Lord! O' Lord!
137. ,áÕÙåÒáÆ áÑ Õãkë×ás áÑ ØãÏÂH CÖ ãÍãká×ãQ åÌáÆ CÖ ,Øëºãn áÀãÂCÆ áÑ O' my God! My Lord! My King! O' Master of my freedom! O' Thou who
138. CÖ ,ØãXáËá¿åtáÆ áÑ Õëoâ£ãQ æCÇ×ãÃá® CÖ ,ØãXá×ã{CÊ ,ØãXáºC¶ áÑ Õãoå»á·ãQ æBoå×ãRág holdeth my destiny and who art aware of my suffering and poverty, o' Thou who knoweth my destitution and starvation,
139. ,ëPán CÖ ëPán CÖ ëPán CÖ O' Lord! O' Lord! O' Lord!
140. ãÈá«å®F áÑ ,áÀãsåk⺠áÑ áÀë»ádãQ áÀâÂGåsF áÌãÆ ØãWCºåÑF áÄá¯å`áW åÉF ,áÀãMCÇåsF áÑ áÀãWC·ã{ I beseech Thee by Thy glory and Thy honour, by Thy supremely high attributes and by Thy names to cause me to utilise my time,
141. áÀãXáÆåkãhãQ áÑ ,æTánÒâÇå¯áÆ á½ãoå¾ãmãQ ãnCÏéËÂB áÑ ãÄå×äÃÂB ÔäXác ,æUáÂÒâRå»áÆ á½ákåËã® ØãÂCÇå®F áÑ ,æUáÂÒâ{åÒáÆ day and night, in Thy remembrance, by engaging myself in serving Thee (Thy cause) and to let my deeds be such as to be acceptable to Thee, so
142. æBjånãÑ CÏêÃâ¾ ÕãjBnåÑF áÑ ØãÂCÇå®F áÉÒâ¿áW ,æBkáÆåoás áÀãXáÆåkãg Ø㶠ØãÂCác áÑ ,æBkãcBÑ much so that all my actions and offerings (prayers) may be transformed into one continuous and sustained effort and my life may take the form of constant and perpetual service to Thee
143. ãÐå×áÂH åÌáÆ CÖ ,ØãÂéÒá¯âÆ ãÐå×áÃá® åÌáÆ CÖ Õãkë×ás CÖ ,ØãÂBÒåcF âVåÒá¿áw O' my Master! O' Thou upon Whom I rely! O' Thou unto Whom I express my distress!
144. ,ëPán CÖ ëPán CÖ ëPán CÖ O' Lord! O' Lord! O' Lord!
145. ÔÃá® åjâkåwB áÑ ,ØãcãnBÒá_ áÀãXáÆåkãg ÔÃá® ëÒẠStrengthen my limbs for Thy service and sustain the strength of
146. Ø㶠ékã`ÂB áØã åSáÎ áÑ ,ØãdãÊBÒá_ ãUáÇÖãqá¯ÂB ,áÀãXáÆåkãhãQ ãÁC|ëWßB Ø㶠áÅBÑékÂB áÑ ,áÀãXá×åxág my hands to persevere in Thy service and bestow upon me the eagerness to fear Thee and constantly to serve Thee
147. áÑ ,áÌå×ã»ãQCétÂB ãÌåÖãjC×áÆ Ø㶠áÀå×áÂH ábáoåsF ÔäXác ÔÂH á¹CXåwF áÑ ,áÌåÖãnãjCRâÇÂB Ø㶠áÀå×áÂH áãoåsâF So that I may lead myself towards Thee in the field with the vanguards who are in the fore rank and be swift towards Thee among those who hasten towards Thee and urge eagerly to
148. éÒâÊâj áÀåËãÆ áÒâÊåjF áÑ ,áÌå×ãºCáXåxâÇÂB Ø㶠áÀãQåo⺠,áÌå×ãËãºåÒâÇÂB áUá¶CháÆ áÀá¶CágF áÑ ,áÌå×ã|ãÃåhâÇÂB be near Thee and draw myself towards Thee like them who sincerely draw themselves towards Thee and to fear Thee like the fear of those who believe firmly in Thee
149. ,áÌå×ãËãÆKâÇÂB á°áÆ á½ãnBÒã_ Ø㶠á°ãÇáXå_F áÑ and thus I may join the congregation of the faithful congregated near Thee (for protection)
150. åÌáÆ áÑ ,âÍåjãnGᶠèAÒâtãQ ØãÊájBnF åÌáÆ áÑ éÈâÏäÃÂB ãÌ~~á~tåcF åÌãÆ ØãËåÃá¯å_B áÑ ,âÍåk~ã~¿á¶ ØãÊájC~~~~¾ O' Allah! Whosoever intendeth evil against me, let ill befall on him and frustrate him who plots against me and assign for me a place in Thy
151. æUáÂãqåËáÆ åÈãÏãQáoåºF áÑ ,á½ákåËã® æCRå×~ã~|áÊ á½ãkå×ãRá® âÁCËâÖ Ù âÐéÊI~ᶠ,áÀåÖáká æUá·åÂâp åÈãÏë|ágF áÑ ,áÀåËãÆ presence with the best of Thy bondsmen and nearer abode to Thee, for verily that position cannot be attained except through Thy grace
152. áÑ ,á½ãjÒâ`ãQ Øã åkâ_ áÑ ,áÀãÃå£á·ãQ éÙH áÀãÂl ØãËå~«á·åcB áÑ ,á½ãkå`áÇãQ éØáÃá® å¸ã§å®B and treat me benevolently, and through Thy greatness extend Thy munificence towards me and through Thy
153. ,æC`ãÏá á½ãoå¾ãmãQ ØãÊCtã åÄá¯å_B áÑ ,áÀãXáÇåcáoãQ ãÌåtâdãQ éØáÃá® éÌâÆ áÑ ,æCÇé×áXâÆ áÀëRâdãQ ØãRåÃẠáÑ mercy protect me and cause my tongue to accentuate Thy remembrance and my heart filled with Thy love and be liberal to me by Thy gracious
154. ,ØãXéÂáp åoã·å²H áÑ ,ØãWáoå® ØãËåÃãºF áÑ ,áÀãXáQC_H áÑ ,áÀãWájCRã¯ãQ á½ãjCRã® ÔÃá® áYå×á£áº áÀéÊI~ᶠresponse and cause my evils to appear fewer and forgive me my errors for verily, Thou hast ordained for Thy bondsmen Thy worship
155. ,áUáQC_ßB âÈâÏá áYåËãÇᢠáÑ ,áÀãMC®âkãQ åÈâÏáWåoáÆF and bidden them to supplicate unto Thee and hast assured them (of Thy) response
156. CÖ áÀå×áÂH áÑ ,ØãÏå_áÑ âYåRá|áÊ ëPán CÖ áÀå×áÂI~ᶠSo, my Lord! I look earnestly towards Thee and towards Thee,
157. Øã åSã`áXåsB áÀãWéqã¯ãRᶠ,ÕãkáÖ âVåjákáÆ ëPán my Lord! I have stretched forth my hands therefore, by Thy honour, respond to my
158. åÌãÆ å°á§å»áW Ù áÑ ,áÕCËâÆ ØãËå³ëÃáQ áÑ ,ØãMC®âj supplication and let me attain my wishes and, by Thy
159. áÑ ëÌã`ÂB éoáw ØãËã·å¾B áÑ ,ØãMC_án áÀãÃå£á¶ bounty, frustrate not my hopes and protect me from the evils of
160. åoã·å²H ,C¢ëoÂB á°Öãoás CÖ ,ØãMBkå®F åÌãÆ ãuåÊßB my enemies, from among the jinns and mankind o' Thou! Who readily pleased, forgive
161. CÇã çÁCé¯á¶ áÀéÊIᶠ,áAC®êkÂB ÙH âÀãÃåÇáÖ Ù åÌáÇã one who owns nothing but supplication for Thou doest what Thou
162. ,çAC~~·ãw âÍâoå¾ãl áÑ ,çABÑáj âÐâÇåsB åÌáÆ CÖ ,âACáxáW willest o' Thou! Whose Name is the remedy (for all ills) and Whose remembrance is a sure cure for all ailments
163. ãÐãÂCáÆ ârFán åÌáÆ åÈácånãB ,æÔáËã² âÐâXá®CᦠáÑ ,âAC¿âRÂB âÐ~âcÚ~ã~s áÑ ,âAC_äoÂB and obedience to Whom makes one self sufficient; have mercy on one whose only asset is hope and whose only armour is lamentation
164. ,ãÈá»ëËÂB á°ã¶Báj CÖ ,ãÈá¯ëËÂB á´ãQCs CÖ O' Thou! Who perfecteth all bounties and Who wardeth off all misfortunes!
165. æCÇãÂC® CÖ ,ãÈáÃê~«ÂB Ø㶠áÌå×ãxãcåÒáXåtâÇÂB ánåÒâÊ CÖ O' Light! Who illuminateth those who are in bewilderment! O' Omniscient!
166. ,èkéÇádâÆ ãÁD áÑ èk~~éÇádâÆ ÔÃá® ëÄá{ ,âÈéÃá¯âÖ Ù Who knoweth without (acquisition of) learning! Bless Muhammad and the Descendants of Muhammad
167. ,âÐâÃåÎF áY~å~ÊF CÆ ØãQ åÄá¯å¶B áÑ and do unto me in accordance with that which befitteth Thee, and deal with me not in accordance to my worth
168. ãUéÇ~~ã~MÛB áÑ ãÐ~ãÂåÒ~â~sán Ô~Ãá® âÐäÃÂB ÔéÃá{ áÑ .æBo×ã~á~¾ æCÇ×ãÃ~~åtáW áÈéÃ~~~ás áÑ ,ãÐãÃåÎF åÌãÆ Ìå×ãÆC×áÇÂB May the blessings of Allah be bestowed upon His Apostle and the Rightful Imams from his Descendants and His peace be upon them plentifully.
