  2. 2. 2 Leaders have mastered the six basic functions of management: leading, planning, organizing, staffing, controlling and communicating. But the most important key to great leadership? Clear communication. Think about it … how a best leaders motivate & inspire? Through clear communication. How do the best organizations promote discipline, accountability and strategic alignment? With clear communication.
  3. 3. 3 The best leaders are first-rate communicators. Their values are clear and solid, & promotes those values. Their teams admire & follow their lead. To achieve, we must master the art of clear communication. So, how do you do it? Good Leaders, Good Communicators First, you must realize & accept that clear communication is always a two-way process. It’s not enough to speak clearly; you have to make sure you’re being heard and understood. To facilitate this, use the following two-way communication primer:
  4. 4. 4 1. To ensure that the receiver understands exactly what a sender intends. 2. To generate a response - some action or change in knowledge & behavior of receiver. Communication has 3 basic goals: 3. To help build relationships between people. Of the 3, in practice, the third one is the most frequently forgotten objectives.
  5. 5. 5 Why Communication is Important Satisfying Business Relationships • Effective business communication is a result of 5 basic aspects to be ensure: 1. Audience should feel they are valued, they should understand and wish to understand them in return.
  6. 6. 6 2. Never assume that others think like you, act like you and motivated like you. 3. Be prepared. Perform as well as you can. 4. Observe yourself if there is anything you could improve. 5. Communication both inside and outside is a two way traffic, that is, mutual benefits from the exchange. Vocal Expressiveness
  7. 7. 7 Properly voice can be a… powerful persuasive tool. In speaking or presentations, the greatest danger is not being heard. Or voice might sound monotonous. There are 4 variables with which we must work: 1. Pitch. 2. Loudness. 3. Rhythm or tempo. 4. Quality.
  8. 8. 8 • We may have great deal of control over first three. • The fourth is harder to change. Even though voice may be quite ordinary, have enough control over pitch, loudness and rhythm to make it effective.
