To Whom It May Concern,
Adelina Valeva
I am happy to write a reference for the above named, who graduated in 2012 with an
Upper Second Class degree.
During the academic year just completed she took two of my courses ‘Political
Sociology’ for which her overall grade was 63, and ‘Advanced Readings in Global
Studies’ for which she received 65. She performed well on both courses and made
many intelligent contributions to class discussions.
Adelina possesses excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. She
is well-organized and possesses the necessary motivation, capacity for hard work,
discipline, and enthusiasm to succeed at the highest level.
She is an intelligent, self-directed, articulate and highly personable individual who is
mature, reliable, and trustworthy. I believe she would relish the challenge of studying
for a postgraduate qualification and is a highly suitable candidate for your
programme. I am sorry she chose not to pursue her postgraduate career with us here at
Royal Holloway and wish her every success in her future studies. I am very happy to
recommend her to you.
Yours sincerely,
Prof. Chris Rumford
Professor of Political Sociology and Global Politics
Department of Politics and International Relations
