Pilot your life newsletter no. 29: Follow your dreams and be inspired by others' dreams too
1. Pilot your life
Welcome to issue no. 29 of Pilot your life. January 2012
Following dreams (at any age) is something we should all aspire to do
whether it’s for our own personal lives or for business.
My flight around Australia’s coast in 1999/2000 was the fulfilment of
my own dream but I’m also very passionate about inspiring others to
follow their dreams. It’s very uplifting to hear about other people’s
goals and how they’re turning their own dreams into reality. Their
enthusiasm is extremely contagious and encourages us to keep
following our own paths.
Just recently I was put in contact with Jennifer Deaves, the editor of
Good Gabble magazine. She is a remarkable woman with a mammoth vision.
Jennifer is a single mother in her forties and has children aged 4, 13 and 18. She home
schools her younger children and her 18 year old daughter is the magazine’s photographer
and subeditor.
The mammoth vision that Jennifer has is to spread a message of hope, inspiration and
positivity throughout the world via her free PDF ezine and ultimately distribute a free print
version of Good Gabble magazine (currently available by paid subscription).
In Jennifer’s words, on http://goodgabble.blogspot.com.au, “Good Gabble Newzine is a
celebration of all the positive things of life. We aim to take the negativity out of the media
and promote hope and unity of all that is good.
Good Gabble enlightens, enriches and reports. It is a celebration of those, big or small, one
or many, who stand above the rest and deserve recognition for their positive power.
Informative and motivational Good Gabble fills your month with hope, inspiration and
thoughts of a better place to be.”
Listening to Jennifer talk about her dream with such passion and enthusiasm reminded me
that even motivators need motivating at times.
Life really is like the coastline with its ups and downs and rugged and smooth patches and
a little help every now and then doesn’t hurt.
