1.   MIS-Means Management Information System
       Is the study of information system in business and management.


2. TPS-Transaction Processing System
        Is a computerized system that performs and record daily routine
         transactions necessary to conduct business.


3.   Dss-Decision- support system.
        Support nonroutine decision making for middle management.
      Summaries and report on the company’s basic operation by
using data collected TPS

Providemiddle managers with the report on current performance of
the company.

1.   MIS serves as intermediary between TPS and DSS
       Data---Information---Communication--Decision
1.   Make decisions
2.   Involve strategic planning
3.   Focus on problems that are unique and rapidly changing
4.   Get information from both internal and external



                How does DSS differ from ESS
DSS support middle management decision while Ess support
   senior management to make decisions
-The various types of systems in the organization exchange data with
one another.
-. TPS are operational-level systems that collect transaction dataTPS are a
-major source of data for other systems, especially MIS and DSS
-TPS provide data that are required by office systems, MIS and DSS,
although these systems may also use other data
