Self-Awareness - is the ability to recognize your own emotions and how they affect your thoughts and
behaviours
Emotional self-awareness - The ability to understand your own emotions and their effect on your
behaviour
Accurate Self-assessment - The ability to accurately self -assess yourself & increases your capacity to
monitor and control your emotional responses
EI Model – Self Management
Self-Control- As you are aware of your emotion, you can now manage team in a productive and healthy way.
Conscientiousness - Promoting a greater good, should have great self control, focus on end goal, stay positive,
be humble, respectful and trustworthy
Adaptability – Look the challenges as an improvement opportunity, be flexible to change approach based on
the circumstances.
Drive & Motivation – Motivate and empower the team to achieve the end goal or target.
EI Model – Social Awareness
Empathy – The ability to recognize and understand the emotions of others and be aware of the challenges they are
facing. Active listening is an essential part of the Empathy.

You can become more self-aware that your emotions play a key part in your thought and behaviours. The main hallmark of your Self-awareness is “Self Confidence” which can be achieved via Emotional self-awareness (The ability to Understand your own emotions and their effect on your behaviour) and Accurate Self-assessment (The ability to accurately self -assess complements your self -awareness and increases your capacity to monitor and control your emotional responses.) Practice active listening during meeting to get the feel for the emotional climate. Learn who the key players and influencers are .

Mastery of these skills can propel us towards success and accomplishment, while a lack of them leads us towards failure and disappointment.
