COMPUTER IN EDUCATION
A person is introduced to a
computer at a very young age
in this new era. With
digitalization taking over the
world at a rapid speed, it has
become inevitable to avoid
them.
Computers in education have revolutionized traditional
education as well plays an important role in students’ career
development.
Goal of technological education is to make students better
thinkers, creative and confident, not only to explore creativity
and imagination but also help to understand technologies.
Schools teach their students basics of computer and the
internet online and offline. It allows students to make their own
creation (composition,drawing, poster) by using various
applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Computer use in education has and will have a great role in the
presentations of lessons and for communication and
information.

Computer in education has revolutionized teaching profession.
Role of computer in teaching activities is becoming more
important because world is in a continuous and rapid
modernization.
Teachers use computers to record grades, calculate averages,
manage attendance and access data on students’performances.
Computers in education help teachers to make the content
easier for students to understand by the usage of computers to
create presentation on a topic to showing video clips that
complement the lesson at hand.
Using computer as a tool in teaching academic subjects leads to
the development of critical thinking, allowing students to
demonstrate spontaneous.
As well an audio-visual method of teaching creates a disciplined
learning environment and fosters effective student engagement
in the class.

(Education conveyed via electronic means)
A form of learning in which digital communication,
electronic devices or the internet is used to support the
learning process.
Computer with the internet is the most powerful device
that students can use to learn new skills and more
advanced versions of current lessons.
In most cases, refers to a course,
program or degree delivered
completely online by utilizing
electronic technologies to access
educational curriculum outside
of a traditional classroom.
Unlike chalk and board style of schooling, e-learning
makes living and receiving simpler, prolific and
productive. Shortly, known as a method of teaching
purely through technology.
Imparts and facilitates knowledge on media, electronic
devices like that on the internet, CD-ROMs, DVDs,
streaming media etc.

dream of distance learning a reality. Digital, self-
initiated learning can be acquired at the desired
location that has internet access.
 A student understands
the topic better by
experiencing different
forms of teaching.
 Modern learning method
fetches you a refreshed
version of knowledge
accessible at convenience
and shared with millions
of people from different
boroughs.
 Information now, can be
accessed, talked, grasped and absorbed as well can
be shared anywhere.
 Audio-visuals help in remembering knowledge for a
long time.
 It’s a cost effective as this method is quick and easy.
Long training period, infrastructure, stationary,
travel expanse etc is reduced.

Negative Impacts of computer in Education
 Everything is easily availableat fingertips, a person’s
ability to think reduces and in a long time might kill
their creativity.
 With everything availableon the internet, students can
easily astray from their academicpats.
 By accessing non useful content instead of
studying.
 Increases laziness
 Deviates tem from exploring their full
potential.
 Online Learners miss out on face to face interaction.
 Lack a sense of community and lead to a feeling of
isolation.
 Good E-learning is difficult to do. Virtual learners are
often exposed to the flaws of the internet
