4. The reproduction in plant takes place in
following ways:
The male reproductive organ stamen produces male gamete or
anther.
Simultaneously the female reproductive organ carpel produce
female gamete or the egg inside the ovule.
Pollination transfer male gamete to female organ. Male gamete
fertilize the female gamete by forming zygote capable of growing
into a new plant.
The fertilized ovule containing the zygote harden its coat to form
seeds.
The seeds produce new plants under favorable cobdition like
presence of water,warmth,air,light,etc.
8. A seed is a reproductive unit of a plant (which can used
to grow a new plant ). The seed contains a baby plant (or
embryo) and food for the baby plant(see the fig).

9. GERMINATION OF SEEDS
Seed germinate under suitable condition to produce
