 Stimuli : a stimulus is any change that takes place
around us that our sense notice.
 Five senses: the five main senses are: touch, sigth,
hearing, taste and smell. These senses allow us
to interpret what is happening around us.

 Touch : we use our sense of touch to interpret
information about texture,temperature, pain or
pressure. Our skin covers and protects our body. It
contains specialised receptors that respond to stimuli.
 Sight : Our sense of sight lets us see the world around us.
We can see objects and identify their shape, colour and
size because of our sense of sigth. Light is essential in
this procces . The sensory organs that we use for
seeing things are our eyes.
 Hearing: We hear the sounds around us thanks to our
sense of hearing. Hearing occurs when our ears detect
and process sound.

 Taste: The tongue is the resposible for our sense of
taste. The taste receptors in our tongue detect flavours
in food. The basic flavours are: sweet, salty, sour
and bitter.
 Smell: the nose, which we use to interpret smeels, is
responsible for our sense of smell. There are
hundres of different types of olfatory receptors, each
desinned to detect certain smells.

 The nervous system transmits signals to difeferents parts
of our bodies to coordinate our voluntary and
invonluntary actions.
 These actions respond to stimuli around us and to stimuli
from inside our bodies (like feeling hungry or thisty).
 The nervous system has two main parts: the central
nervous system and the nerves.
 The nervious system consists of specialed cell called
nervous.
 The nervous system is responsible fot two types of
actions: voluntary: (those that we choose to do) and
involuntary (these actions that our bodies perform but
wich we have no control over).
