I am writing in support of Allison Sanborn.
I have had the pleasure of working with Allison in her role here as senior clinical secretary since
September of 2013. She came at a time when the section had lost all secretarial support and she
found herself in the position of handling the entire practice for 10 doctors with minimal time for
training. In spite of this, she was able to get the office organized and provide support for our
patients. Since that time, and with more support, she has been an excellent resource for our
patients and done a great job with scheduling.
Additionally, she has shown a wide range of talents on specific projects not directly related to
her role as a clinical secretary. Specifically, she has helped me put together a grant for a project
in Haiti. My CV had been lost on a previous secretary’s hard drive and needed to be
reconstructed and updated, which she did with great skill. She also expressed a willingness to
build our website in Nephrology and has many skills related to this.
Allison has many skills which would make her excellent as a personal assistant, project
coordinator, etc. I recommend her as a very sincere and sensitive person who has a passion for
supporting missions leading to improved patient care. I feel she would do best in a role where
she is working directly with a supervisor who can provide feedback and guidance related to her
work.
