DEFINITION:

To transmit information by a program or station.


EXAMPLE:

The new station broadcasts the spanish classes from
secondary level.

DEFINITION:

The path or way to pass information over.


EXAMPLE:

Teachers need to find the best media to give students the
concepts.

MULTIMEDIA

DEFINITION:

Combining several types of media such as video, sound,
images, graphics and text.


EXAMPLE:

Multimedia projects are used to teach concepts in an
interactive way.

E-LEARNING

DEFINITION:

It is a computer-based learning.


EXAMPLE:

E-learning is a diifferent way of studying in the universities in
Guatemala.

RESOURCES

DEFINITION:

Something that is to support or help.


EXAMPLE:

There are a lot of online resources for all the subjects.

DEFINITION:

Item used to connect online websites.


EXAMPLE:

I searched some links to work with my students in class.

SIMULATIONS

DEFINITION:

The imitation or assumption of a specific content.


EXAMPLE:

I made a water cycle simulation for my Science class.

LEARNING ENVIRONMENTS

DEFINITION:

The use and organization of space in your classroom.


EXAMPLE:

The learning environment is one important part of the learning
process. It needs to be according to the students´ age and
level.

PASSIVE RECEIVERS

DEFINITION:

Pupils that are not active in class.


EXAMPLE:

Learning becomes disconnected from our own intellectual
curiosity – someone else takes over our education, and we
become passive receivers.

SKILLS

DEFINITION:

Abilities that each person has.


EXAMPLE:

Students need to develop reading skills to be able to improve
the target language and comprehend texts.

DECLARATIVE KNOWLEDGE

DEFINITION:

Declarative knowledge is a broad category that includes facts,
concepts, and the relationships that lead to an integrated
conceptual understanding of a domain of knowledge.

EXAMPLE:

It is important to set declarative knowledge with students from
all ages.

PROCEDURAL KNOWLEDGE

DEFINITION:

Procedural knowledge is about how to do things.


EXAMPLE:

Brushing your teeth and driving a car are examples of
Procedural Knowledge.

COGNITIVE

DEFINITION:

Relating to intellectual activities.


EXAMPLE:

A person with a cognitive disability has greater difficulty in his
or her learning process.

ASSESSMENT

DEFINITION:

Similar to appreciation.


EXAMPLE:

The tax assessment on the new neighbors´ house, was high.

DEFINITION:

A person who applies for a new job.


EXAMPLE:

There were many applicants in the job openning.

DEFINITION:

EXAMPLE:

Users in projects choose to tour or navigate on them.

DEFINITION:

Way of making someone interested in a task.


EXAMPLE:

Instrinsic motivation is a better way to make students praise
their good job in class.

CONLUSION

Multimedia learning is now an interest that new students
have in order to gain knowledge in computer-based
aquisition.

Teachers from this century are preparing themselves into
new ways of teaching in all the grades. Multimedia came
into the learning process to develop high order skills that
students are acquiring in every day assignements.
