I have taught many different ABE courses at Bates Technical College throughout the several years I have been working there. I first started gaining experience in teaching ESL. I have taught Reading for College Success, Transitional Programs such as an IBest program for ESL students working in Early Childhood Education and I most recently have been teaching GED courses at an off site location for students aged 16-21 years of age in which gaining student engagement and maintaining consistent student attendance and retention has been a primary goal along with succeeding in earning their GED and transitioning to college classes. Currently I work with adult high school and nursing students.
