  1. AWS is an “Infrastructure as a Service” company. That means we provide global-scale networking, global-scale computing capability, global scale storage, global scale content distribution, and a bunch of services that support and extend that IaaS capability. Today we have 11 REGIONS, 28 availability zones and 53 edge locations. Data and services are deployed in regions, and edge locations provide higher bandwidth into and out of AWS, closer to the customer or the consumer.
