AWS DeepLens
The world’s first deep learning enabled video camera for developers - grow your machine
learning skills through hands-on computer vision tutorials, example code and pre-built models.
Inference can be performed on the device using models
deployed from Amazon SageMaker.
Alternatively, you can integrate with services such as
Amazon Lambda, Amazon Kinesis Video Streams or
Amazon Rekognition Video.
Optimised for Apache MXNet (TensorFlow andCaffe will
be available in the future).

Amazon Rekognition was launched last year, but we had a lot of customers that said “this is
awesome for images, but can you do it for video?” We’ll detect objects, faces, scenes, inappropriate
content, celebrity detection and person tracking.

Amazon Comprehend
Amazon Comprehend is a natural language processing (NLP) service that uses machine learning to
find insights and relationships in text.

Amazon Comprehend identifies the language of the text; extracts key phrases, places, people,
brands, or events; understands how positive or negative the text is; and automatically organizes a
collection of text files by topic.

Amazon Transcribe
Amazon Transcribe is an automatic speech recognition (ASR) service that makes it easy for
developers to add speech to text capability to their applications. Using the Amazon Transcribe API,
you can analyze audio files stored in Amazon S3 and have the service return a text file of the
transcribed speech.
Key features include:
• Easy-to-Read Transcription;
• Multiple language support;
• Timestamp generation;
• Telephony audio support; and a
• Simple-to-use API
Additionally, the ability to recognize multiple speakers and support for custom vocabularies is
coming soon.

Amazon Translate
Amazon Translate is a neural machine translation service that delivers fast, high-quality, and
affordable language translation. Neural machine translation is a form of language translation
automation that uses machine learning and deep learning models to deliver more accurate and
more natural sounding translation than traditional statistical and rule-based translation algorithms.
Amazon Translate allows you to easily translate large volumes of text efficiently, and to localize
websites and applications for international users.
Key benefits include:
• Highly accurate and constantly learning;
• Easy to integrate into your applications; and
• Scalable
Translation of Arabic, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese to and from

A new service that enables you to create, build and run virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR)
and 3D applications easily without requiring any specialized programming or 3D graphics expertise.
Easy to get started using the web-based Sumerian editor.
3D characters called Hosts can narrate and guide users through AR/VR scenes.
Hosts can speak a variety of languages and can converse with users.
