We act based on what we believe. Being a teacher, I believe in two things: i) peers can learn from each other if they know how, and ii) good assessment is the most effective way to improve education quality. Following the first belief, I focus on how to facilitate peer learning to promote learning effectiveness from a cognitive perspective. As for the second belief, in my current job as assessment expert I make instructors aware of the backwash effects of assessments and advise instructors on how to make good assessments based on the concept of constructive alignment.
