Umeed - A drop of hope (NGO) is a youth club formed by youth of
nation, it has been formed with the motto i.e social service. This
tiny motto is just a seed it aims to grow higher than all height, to
help all those who need help.
Tracing back Umeed was established by Mr. Shubhrajeet
Gautam on January 26, 2011 with a small cloth of donation camp
as its first campaign towards humanity. After working so long for
humanity drop of hope has discovered new horizons.
The main motive behind the establishment was child welfare but
the NGO has expanded its work penetrating deep in society with
social welfare and social awareness.

5. Special Benefits under PMJDY Scheme

6. Document required to open an account
under Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana
An account can be opened by presenting an officially valid document.
•the passport,
•the driving licence,
•the Permanent Account Number (PAN) Card,
•the Voter’s Identity Card issued by Election Commission of India,
•job card issued by NREGA duly signed by an officer of the State Government,
•the letter issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India containing details of
name, address and Aadhaar number, or
•any other document as notified by the Central Government in consultation with the
Regulator:
Provided that where simplified measures are applied for verifying the identity of the
clients the following documents shall be deemed to be officially valid documents:—
identity card with applicant's Photograph issued by Central/State Government
Departments, Statutory/Regulatory Authorities, Public Sector Undertakings,
Scheduled Commercial Banks, and Public Financial Institutions;
letter issued by a Gazetted officer, with a duly attested photograph of the
person.

10. Benefits of Suraksha Bima Yojana
Premium: Cheapest insurance premium of just Rs. 12 per year. (As
per my knowledge, this is cheapest insurance premium in the world).
This amount would be auto-debited from the policy holder’s account
directly.
Coverage:
Accidental death risk and full disability of Rs. 2 Lakh would be covered
under this bima yojna.
Rs. 1 Lakh coverage will also be provided for partial disability
Full disability includes: Total and irrecoverable loss of both
eyes/hands/feet/sight of one eye. And loss of use of hands or foot.
Partial disability includes: Total and irrecoverable loss of sight of one eye
or loss of one hand or foot
During the first 45 days, claim for only death due to accident will only be
accepted.
Cover will be terminated once policy holder reaches the age of 70 years
(age nearest birth day)
11. Documents Required for Pradhan Mantri
Suraksha Bima Yojna:
The Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana application form is
to be duly filled. The details to be filled are:
•Name
•Aadhaar number
•Contact information
•Nominee details
•The application form is available in English, Hindi, Bengali,
Marathi, Oriya, Telugu, Tamil and Gujarati.
•The only document that has to be submitted along with the
application form is the Aadhaar Card copy if the Aadhaar is not
linked to your savings bank account.
12. Conditions for termination of Pradhan
Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana:
•The accidental cover will be terminated on following conditions and no
benefits will be payable:
•When the subscriber attains 70 years.
•If the savings bank account is closed due to non-maintenance of the
minimum balance that is required to keep the insurance in force.
•If the subscriber is covered through more than one account, the insurance
cover will be restricted to one account and the extra premium paid will be
forfeited.
•If the insurance cover is ceased due to technical reasons or due to
insufficient balance, the same can be reinstated after the premium is paid in
full. The risk cover for that period will be suspended and the risk cover is
reinstated at the sole discretion of the insurance company.
•The participating banks will have to deduct the premium in the month
when the auto debit option is given and that amount will be remitted to the
insurance company in that same month.

15. Ujjwala Yojana
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) aims to safeguard the health of women & children
by providing them with a clean cooking fuel – LPG, so that they don’t have to compromise
their health in smoky kitchens or wander in unsafe areas collecting firewood.
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra
Modi on May 1st, 2016 in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. Under this scheme, 5 Cr LPG connections
will be provided to BPL families with a support of Rs.1600 per connection in the next 3
years. Ensuring women’s empowerment, especially in rural India, the connections will be
issued in the name of women of the households. Rs. 8000 Cr. has been allocated towards
the implementation of the scheme. Identification of the BPL families will be done through
Socio Economic Caste Census Data.
PMUY is likely to result in an additional employment of around 1 Lakh and provide
business opportunity of at least Rs. 10,000 Cr. over the next 3 Years to the Indian Industry.
Launch of this scheme will also provide a great boost to the ‘Make in India’ campaign as all
the manufacturers of cylinders, gas stoves, regulators, and gas hose are domestic.
The launch of PMUY in Ballia was followed by launch of the scheme in Dahod in Gujarat
by Petroleum Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan & BJP President Shri Amit Shah. PMUY
has also been launched in several districts in UP & Bihar.

•Connections under new scheme will allocated in the name of women members of
poor households, which will be genuine step towards women empowerment.
•About 700 million people in India have been using traditional cooking fuels like
firewood, charcoal and kerosene etc and these emits more smokes which severally
affects the health of women households. Using LPG will helps to improve the quality
of life of poor households.
•Traditional cooking fuels also cause the air pollution, use of LPG will help to reduce
the air pollution. Hence LPG is also environment friendly.
•It will reduce drudgery and the time spent on cooking.
•Providing LPG connections to BPL households will ensure universal coverage of
cooking gas in the country.
•This measure will empower women and protect their health.

20. Atal Pension Yojana
In an effort to help the unorganized section of the Indian society, the
Government of India introduced the “Atal Pension Yojana” in June,
2015. The Atal Pension Yojana is administered by the PFRDA (Pension
Fund Regulatory and Development Authority) under the National
Pension System (NPS). The scheme was launched to encourage
individuals from the weaker section to opt for pension, which would
immensely benefit them during their old age. The Atal Pension Yojana
scheme can also be taken by individuals working in private sector
organisations or by anyone who is self-employed. The Atal Pension
Yojana scheme helps the weaker section to save up for their old age
and get a guaranteed monthly pension amount. Under this plan, the
subscriber will receive a fixed pension after the age of 60, depending
on his contribution amount and tenure.
21. Eligibility
•The scheme benefits can be availed only by the citizens of
unorganised sector.
•Bank account in must to get enrolled under APY. If you do not
have any bank account then you can open zero balance savings
account under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana.
•Individual will have to join National Pension System (NPS)
administered by Pension Fund Regulatory and Development
Authority (PFRDA) in order to get benefits under this scheme
•Subscriber can contribute every month/quarter/half yearly in
order to receive monthly pension after 60 years.
•Sooner someone joins, lower would be the contribution to be
made and vice versa.
22. Benefits of Atal Pension Yojana
•Subscribers of APY will get monthly pension after they reach
the age of 60 years. If someone joins at the age of 18 years
and contributes Rs.42 till he reaches 60 years, then monthly
pension received would be Rs. 1,000.
•Pension amount will range from Rs.1,000 – Rs. 5,000.
•Auto-debit facility will also be provided. With this monthly
contribution would be automatically debited from the
subscriber’s account.
•In case of death of the pensioner (father), the monthly
pension would continue to be paid to the wife. And to the
child (if both father and mother die).
