3rd – 5th Grade, Spring Testing
o Computer-Adaptive Test
o One piece of the picture
o Include student scores, achievement levels, and descriptors
that describe performance.
o Interpret results alongside other available information about
a student’s academic achievement, including such
measures as, classroom assignments and grades,
classrooms tests, report cards, and teacher feedback.
o Like the new learning goals they were designed to
measure, these new tests are much too different from the
old exams to make any comparisons between old scores
and new.
o A starting point–a baseline for the progress we expect
students to make over time.
How can you help?
 Drive clockwise around the school
 Do not park on Oxford St. in front of the school
 Don’t block the bus zone on Walnut St.
 Join the PTA
 Consider running for SGC
 Join the ELAC

Back to School Night at Oxford!

  • 3. Who is missing? 2nd grade teacher, Cheryl Sheppard  If you want to help, we are collecting donations for alternative treatments (i.e. acupuncture, massage, naturopath, etc.)  Box in the office and in classrooms  Have your child write a letter to her  Send good wishes her way

What is new this year?  Staff Updates (Paul Jones, Eileen Cullen, Vanessa Yee, Niani Frye, Mel Stenger, Noelle Sedor, Tiana Townsend, Deirdre Sproul)  Nurse Judy on site  Intervention Block, 3 times a week  After school schedule – HWK first, then enrichment  Math Intervention Program  Building on teacher leaders on site  Garden, K-3, once a week  Growth Mindset

SBAC/SBA 3rd – 5th Grade, Spring Testing o Computer-Adaptive Test o One piece of the picture o Include student scores, achievement levels, and descriptors that describe performance. o Interpret results alongside other available information about a student’s academic achievement, including such measures as, classroom assignments and grades, classrooms tests, report cards, and teacher feedback. o Like the new learning goals they were designed to measure, these new tests are much too different from the old exams to make any comparisons between old scores and new. o A starting point–a baseline for the progress we expect students to make over time.
