Melalui kegiatan pembelajaran menggunakan pendekatan saintifik dengan model
pembelajaran discovery learning peserta didik mampu mengidentifikasi fungsi sosial,
struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan, menentukan teks deskriptif yang sesuai dengan gambar
binatang yang disajikan, dan membuat teks deskriptif sangat singkat dan sederhana terkait
binatang sesuai konteks, dengan rasa ingin tahu, tanggung jawab, displin selama proses
pembelajaran, bersikap jujur, santun, percaya diri dan pantang menyerah, serta memiliki
sikap responsif (berpikir kritis) dan pro-aktif (kreatif), serta mampu berkomukasi dan
bekerjasama dengan baik.
3.7 Membandingkan fungsi sosial, struktur teks, dan unsur kebahasaan beberapa
teks deskriptif lisan dan tulis dengan memberi dan meminta informasi terkait
dengan deskripsi orang, binatang, dan benda, sangat pendek dan sederhana,
sesuai dengan konteks penggunaannya

orang, binatang, dan benda, dengan memperhatikan fungsi sosial, struktur teks,
dan unsur kebahasaan, secara benar dan sesuai konteks

1. This modul is expected to help students in
exploring learning material about asking
and giving information about animals in the
form of descriptive text.
2. This modul consist of three main materials
related to the learning materials, those are
: social function, text structures, and
language features.
Learning Guidance
Text Structures:
They are:

✓ The characteristics
✓ Function, behaviors, benefits, actions, habit that characterize
the animals.
Language
Features:
Declarative sentences (positive and
negative) and interrogative (yes/no
questions; WH questions) in simple
present tense.
Singular and plural nominal with or
without a, the, this, those, my, their, etc.
Pronounciation, intonation, word stress,
spelling, punctuation, and hand writing.
Topic: Behaviour / action / functions of animals found at home, school and
the environment around that can foster the students’ behaviour contain in
KI.
2. Enrichmen Materials: text structures, they are identification and the
characteristics
3. Remedial Material: the social function to describe, introduce, praise, and identify
particular animal.

Describing Animals
I have a pet in my house. My pet is a goldfish. I named my goldfish Chubba
because it looks so fat and chubby. Chubba is an attractive and beautiful fish
with its striking color.Chubba has two large soft tail fins that make it so
graceful while swimming. Its lower and upper fins are also white with a bit
reddish spot on them. It has short round-shaped body. Its scales are white
around the tummy and red strip along the upper body. It also has a white
bump on its forehead. I keep Chubba in a small aquarium that I place in my
room. Its favorite food is fish pellet. I feed it about twice a day, at the morning
and afternoon. Oh, I love my goldfish Chubba very much.
