PROJECTS:
HCSC: SPARK (SEP’18-JUN’19):
The SPARK project involves upgradation of legacy CA on premise instance to modern CA Cloud instance. As part
of Reporting team, I am involved in replacing legacy excel reports with interactive Jaspersoft reports on the new
instance. The inbuilt Jaspersoft reporting server will reduce report redundancy by 70% and will be completely
configurable as per end user needs.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reverse engineer existing Out of the Box Jaspersoft reports
• Create new reports or modify existing reports as per business requirements.
• Create CA PPM objects, attributes and Advanced Reporting modules like resource bundles, input
controls and localizations.
• Collaborate with Conversion, Configuration and Integration teams to determine required attributes and
objects.
ANTHEM: STRATEGIC PROVIDER SYSTEM (APR’17-AUG’18):
The SPS project involves consolidation of multiple regional systems into one single global system for maintaining
provider related data. As part of Data Movement team, I was involved in one-time migration of data from
existing systems to the new system via Informatica ETL applications.
2. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead and mentor a team of junior ETL developers and oversee daily updates to ensure development
activities are on schedule.
• Understand pre-designed healthcare-specific target data models, metadata layer and data marts and
ETL processes.
• Work directly with Modelers/Architects/DBA on data modeling, schema design, SQL query tuning; and
the application of data-related business rules while assisting in troubleshooting, debugging, and issue
resolution.
UNION BANK OF SWITZERLAND: BAU - CASH EQUITIES (OCT’16- APR’17):
As part of BAU team, this project deals with regular enhancements to the cash equities data warehousing
application. This application deals with processing stock orders from various markets (APAC, EMEA, US), and
loading data into the different layers of the data warehouse – staging, ODS and data marts.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and applications through analysis, coding, writing clear
documentation and problem resolution.
• Troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting processes in ETL framework. Modifying existing code to
provide defect fixes for existing ETLs.
• Coordinate and Collaborate with other ETL teams and business users to maintain effective awareness of
all production activities according to required standards and provide support to all existing applications.
NORTHWESTERN MUTUAL
FR COMPENSATION STRATEGIC ALLIANCE (MAR’15- OCT’16):
This project involved migration of all bonus calculation systems from file based legacy systems to modern
database based systems. This was a highly visible project directly in line with client’s long-term business strategy.
DEFERRED COMPENSATION (AUG’13-JUN’15):
This long term project was to migrate the administration of deferral processing to a third party vendor thereby
automating the enrollment process and providing the NM Field Force to track their deferral accounts 24x7
throughout the year. This was an extremely critical client-facing project.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Refactor legacy mainframe code, build Informatica ETLs to process and move deferral data downstream
to various databases in EDW.
• Created SCD-2 ETLs for processing data received from third party vendor periodically.
• Extensive reverse engineering of existing Mainframe based compensation systems to identify underlying
logic to be used in corresponding Informatica applications.
• Awarded the best “Business Value” and “Team Collaboration” projects by client.
