by the Information Technology Department,
Government of Kerala in collaboration with
various departments like the Kerala State
Electricity Board, Kerala Water Authority
etc. in the year 2000.

"Wired Village" project, launched in 1998 as a
collaboration between the National

villages around Warana Nagar and intends to

(AGMARKNET) was launched in March 2000

• This e-governance portal AGMARKNET,

agricultural produce markets, and web-based
dissemination to producers, consumers,
traders, and policy makers transparently and
quickly.

available on the AGMARKNET portal in 8
regional languages and English.
• It displays Commodity-wise, Variety-wise
daily prices and arrivals information from all
wholesale markets.
• Various types of reports can be viewed

and work is in progress for another 700
