Joseph the Dreamer was the eleventh of
Jacob’s twelve sons and Rachel’s
firstborn. In the Bible Joseph was sold
into slavery by his jealous Brothers, yet
rose to become the Most powerful man
in Egypt next to the Pharaoh by saving
many lives from the 7-year famine.
1. Joseph was hated and sold by his
brothers to the Ishmaelites trader.
a. Jealousy can destroy relationship.
“Anger is cruel, and wrath is like a flood, but
jealousy is even more dangerous”
- Proverbs 27:4 NLT
b. In times of difficulties God is making a
way for you.
Although Joseph’s brothers didn’t kill
Him outright, they were quite willing to let
cruel slave traders do their dirty work for
them. Joseph faced a 30-day journey through
the desert, probably chained and on foot. He
would treat like baggage. His brothers thought
they would never see him again. But God was
in control of Joseph’s life and had other plans.
c. Saan ka man dalhin ng alon ng
pagsubok God is with us.
“The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in
everything he did as he served in the home of his
Egyptian master”.
- Genesis 39:2 NLT
2. He was falsely accused and put in Prison.
The temptation
“And Potiphar’s wife soon began to look at him lustfully. “Come and sleep
with me,” she demanded. 8but Joseph refused. “Look” he told her, “my
master trust me with everything in his entire household. 9No one here has
more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you,
because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a
great sin against God.” 10She kept putting pressure on Joseph day after day,
but he refused to sleep with her, and he kept out of her way as much as
possible. 11one day, However, no one else was around when he went in to do
his work. 12she came and grabbed him by his cloak, demanding, “Come on,
sleep with me!” Joseph tore himself away, but he left his cloak in her hand as
he ran from the house. – Genesis 39:8-12 NLT
3. Thrown into the pit to prison to
palace : He became in charge of all
Egypt.
“So Pharaoh asked his officials, ’can we find anyone else
like this man so obviously filled with the spirit of God”
– Genesis 41:37 NLT
3. Thrown into the pit to prison to
palace : He became in charge of all
Egypt.

understand God’s plan in our life.
