2. 1. Introduction
Motivation is a vitally important tool for the individual when carrying out any
activity, and therefore also to increase the performance of workers.
Currently, more and more companies are concerned with promoting the
motivation of their workers, since they know that this will lead to greater
performance for the company.
Although there are multiple definitions of motivation, the simplest and most
complete would be the one that considers motivation as the "stimulus or impulse
that initiates, guides and maintains behavior, until the desired objective is
achieved"
But what drives people to act in a certain way? Each person has their own
reasons. The factors that influence the motivation of the individual are multiple
and varied, they arose from the personality of the individual, their beliefs,
values, needs, etc.
3. 2. Purpose
• Work motivation constitutes the success of any company, making employees
feel aligned with the company's objectives, while fulfilling their personal
objectives, through the satisfaction of their needs and expectations.
• A motivated worker will perform better because he feels better in his job and
performs it more effectively. It increases their feeling of belonging to the
company and the team. New ideas flourish more easily and transmit them to
their superiors. It increases the productivity of the company, which
translates into higher sales.
4. 3. Research question and objetives
What is work motivation?
Motivation at work consists of "the
process by which people, when executing a
specific activity, develop capacities that
lead to the materialization of certain
objectives to satisfy needs and/or
expectations“
Why is motivation important in your
workers?
Motivation is important for many reasons:
A motivated worker will perform better
because he feels better in his job and
performs more effectively. It increases
their feeling of belonging to the company
and the team. New ideas flourish more
easily and transmit them to their
superiors.
Objetives:
That people want to achieve a different
result.
That they have developed or acquired
the capacities to achieve the new
result.
That they have the opportunity to apply
the skills necessary to achieve the new
result
5. 4. Explanation of proyect
Motivate Employee
Without a doubt, employees must be motivated, but… why? What is the
greatest benefit they provide?
Employees who are motivated are able to perform much better because they
feel better and happier in their jobs, therefore they perform tasks more
effectively.
Normally, workers who feel valued and motivated are able to have new ideas and
pass them on to their superiors, which is why large companies strive to keep
their employees motivated.
Work motivation is one of the biggest concerns for those who manage the human
capital of a company. Retaining talent within the company has become part of
the business strategy, so knowing the keys, techniques and actions to motivate
employees is essential for the proper development of the company.
6. There can be many ways to motivate an employee, and many times it will depend on
the type of worker and person. But, without a doubt, some of the keys to motivating
workers are:
• Flexibility: companies have to adapt to changes. This necessarily implies becoming more
flexible, adopting new work models and facilitating the conciliation of professionals.
• Training: given the reactivation of the market, training and improving the skills of
professionals is essential. For companies, betting on reviewing procedures and updating
the knowledge of their staff is an investment in the future: it increases their self-
esteem, their progress and their desire to train.
• Reward employees: Effort must be rewarded. It is necessary to convey gratitude and
good wishes to employees when new professional achievements are achieved. It is not a
monetary award but something tangible with which the employee feels valued and
recognized.
• Growth and possibility of promotion: the growth of the company is directly proportional
to the growth of its employees. Promoting the professional development of the
workforce translates into giving them new responsibilities, assigning them exciting
projects, and thinking about development plans.
7. 5. Metodology
Create a nice workspace.
Recognize the work of employees.
Offer rewards.
Be a respectful and honest leader.
Set smaller, measurable goals.
Create room to grow.
Try to stay positive.
Ask your employees what motivates them.
Offer flexible hours
Implement innovative technologies
8. 6. Findings
Motivation is not Pressure
In the field of work especially, there is a very big difference between motivation and pressure: in
fact, a good group leader will know how to transform the usual pressure factors into motivational
instruments, which will result in a clear benefit.
Build self-esteem
Motivation takes the individual out of the natural inertia to always do the same thing, in the same
way, when posing new challenges. The possibility of striving to achieve new goals renews self-
confidence and contributes to self-esteem.
Generates active and persistent behaviors
It is logical to think that the stronger the stimulus or the need that triggers the behavior, the
greater the energy put in that direction, as well as the persistence in achieving the achievement.
9. 7. CONCLUSIONS
In conclusion, motivation seen from all possible perspectives plays a very
important role for any company, regardless of its line of business, since
without it the worker would only fulfill their tasks as an obligation and not as
a reason to be within it.
In my opinion, in all organizations there should be, because no matter how
small the number of people who work in it, they are still human beings who
try to do their best to grow as people and if, as employees or employers, we
take this into account and we go in a single course it is much easier to
achieve everything that as a company it is intended to become.
In this research, it was possible to arrive at the idea that motivation is an
important attitude to be able to achieve our life expectations, improve the
performance of our activities, whether daily, work or academic. And that
motivated behavior is due to the need to satisfy priority personal motives
such as hunger, thirst, sex, etc. as well as secondary motives such as
achievement, affiliation and power.
