also known as traffic lamps, signals lights and stop
lamps.
 Traffic light display three lights of a standard colour
 Lights are simultaneously change with given time
Since vehicles and highways are increasing
day by day, so it’s a great challenge for us
to control traffic by human and it also
expensive .
This project presents a possible solution
where our road authority can set this device
to control traffic signal system without any
confliction
.4 ways traffic control system is a automated traffic
controlling system.
This system gives you access to control 4 ways
highway lane traffic signal simultaneously based on
the time
The primary function of any traffic signal is to
assign right-of-way so that no confliction occurs
at an intersection.
 RED light – instructs the driver to STOP at the
intersection
 YELLOW light – instructs the driver to WAIT (If
red light is next) or GET READY (if green light
is next)
 GREEN light – instructs the driver to GO
through the intersection
 To control vehicles without
confliction.
 Saves money.
 It helps our road authority to
decrease traffic jam.

 Battary: 9V
 Breadboard: 2pic
 connecting wire. jumper ware (male 1 set)
 A potentiometer is a manually adjustable variable resistor with 3
terminals
The potentiometer essentially functions as a variable voltage
divider.
This type of pot is often used in audio volume control

 YELLOW light – instructs the driver to WAIT (If
red light is next) or GET READY (if green light is
next)

LED traffic lights response faster than halogen
bulbs
 The circuit can’t be used in metro city or
where traffic is more.
 If power is off, device will automatically
stop.
 There is no sensory input & decisions.
 There is no way to detect a corrupted
vehicles
 LED’s can shift color due to age and
temperature
