I built my first Learning Management System (LMS) in 1988 and now have over 25 years’ experience working with LMS in the Oil & Gas, Retail, Finance and other industries. I've worked primarily in compliance-based LMS, where a substantial amount of training is driven by regulation or certification needs. Over the past several years I've worked on competency-based learning systems, where training to a specific proficiency level is the goal. During this period I designed the competency modules for the RISC_Inc Virtual Training Assistant system, an internet based LMS.
