Supplier Assurance & Material Assurance

 Plan & execute for the vendor visit audit program for the new and existing supplier as per the business call
and as a part of Supply Assurance Program to ensure and assure the quality, low cost, on-time, enhance
material with high post service assurance from the vendor.
 Plan and execute the Quality Material to be issued for the production to reduce the chance of least
variation/rejection for Raw Materials and Consumables.
 Enhance the standardization and testing methodology for testing of the incoming goods as per the testing
process at the vendor place and in the plant facility to reduce the variation in acceptance procedure at both
places.
In-Process Quality
 Plan and execute to meet the In-process Material Quality Objectives of plant
 Ensure the standardisation improvement in testing process, procedure and Quality plan to achieve plant
objectives to improve the process control mechanism
 Assure the employee training and education to change with the statistical Process Control mechanism and
variable quality Testing Plan process as per the Process quality
 Improve the testing instruments to reduce the time for inspection
 Critical control the ECR & ECN mechanism thru out the plant to put the strong control over permanent change
mechanism
 Strongly & critically monitor the Non-Confirm Material movement procedure to reduce the skip/leakage of
non-conform material at any moment
Kilns Operation and Production (Tunnel and Batch Kilns)
 Possess an in-depth understanding of Tunnel and Batch Kilns operation for firing or sintering of ceramics
products.
 Possess a good operational knowledge to improve the Kilns capacity and daily monitoring of kilns condition.
 Understand the knowhow of kiln process flow to upgrade it next level to achieve the design efficiency in terms
of thru put a fuel efficiency.
Team Management
 Leading, mentoring & monitoring the performance of team members to ensure efficiency in process operations
in order to maintain quality policy and achieve quality objectives of the company.
 Creating & sustaining dynamic environment that fosters development opportunities and motivates high

 Leading the Unit Quality Assurance Head for Sterlite Technologies Limited, Shendra – Aurangabad facility
 Handling the plant Quality Management system as Management Representative
 Leading the continual improvement mechanism by identifying and deploying Lean Six Sigma Projects with
CFT team members for eliminating the defects from system
 Monitoring and measuring of Business Excellence Initiatives like “Quality Health Index” & drive to achieve

 Reduced customer complaint/Mn Fkm fiber by 37% in FY 14-15 w.r.t FY 13-14. (in FY 13-14 Customer
complaint/ Mn Fkm Fiber Dispatch – 9.57 & in FY 14-15 achieved 6.02).
 External failure reduction from 15.2 lacs to 0.46 Lacs from FY 13-14 to FY 14-15.
 Average time to close customer complaint, reduced from 15 days to 9 days in FY14-15.
 Customer satisfaction index for key accounts increased from 85% in first half of FY15-16.
 Monitoring the First Time Right Approach throughout the manufacturing performance – Achieved 20%
improvement within last 7 months.
 Monitoring the Monthly Quality Health Index Performance to achieve the corporate quality goal – improve 25%
within last 7 month.
 Completed Implementation cycles for TL9000 and ISO10002 standards for Shendra plant.
 Completed 25 of successful customer audits in Shendra Plants without any major NCs in last 7 months in FY

Roles & Responsibilities:
o Vitrified Process of Nagpur Bonded abrasive unit.
o Kilns (Tunnel & Batch) Kilns operation & Production.
o QA function of Nagpur Bonded abrasive unit.
o QC & QA of Nagpur Bonded unit having production capacity of 375 Tons/Month.
o Over all rejection reduction & improve input out raw.
 Making all Standard Operational Procedures of any new process if included or if require any changes in the
existing operation.
 Working as an in-charge of Kilns (1 Tunnel & 2 Batch Kilns). Conversant with operation of Bickley, Pullman
and Dressler Tunnel Kilns and Batch Kilns for firing and Riedhammer Tunnel & Brands Batch Kilns for
sintering.
 Providing resolution of Customer complaints & implementing CA&PA at manufacturing sites
 Planning Kilns production with monthly production plan & execution throughout the month to achieve the on-
time; achieving the Fuel Efficiency, Operational efficiency, hourly production at Kilns at Kilns.
 Maintaining stock of Kiln Furniture, Fuels, Refractory, etc. in advance to run production smoothly.
 Leading the production team to make a stringent planning & execution throughout the month to achieve the
business target.
 Carrying predictive maintenance in Kilns to avoid unwanted major breakdown or Loss time.
 Maintaining the emergency stock of critical kilns spare parts at department level to get rid of from emergency
breakdown.
 Generating new resource for Kiln Furniture; ensuring compliance of statutory regulations at Kilns.
 Implementing Kaizens, Poka-Yoke, KANBAN and WCM improvement planning, etc.
Projects Accomplished:
 Improving Sp. Fuel consumption in kilns from 0.34 Ltrs/Kg to 0.29 Ltrs/Kg.
 Reducing of variable cost of Kilns from 85 Lacks/Annum to 70 Lacks/Annum @ 375 tons/month.
 Carrying out every EMPs & OMPs related projects for Kilns area.
 Leading one DMAIC Project of Reduction of Stones Fired rejection from 4.75% to 2.4%.
 Working as a Team member for DMAIC project of green waste reduction in mixing & moulding area from 6.5%
to 3%.
 Responsible to reduce the breakdown time in Tunnel Kiln from 0.19% to >0.09% within first six month & >0.06%
within last six month. For Batch Kilns from B/D reduction from 0.28% to 15% in YTD 2010.
Achievements:
 Completed two DMAIC Green belt project in 2007.
 Achieved Rejection% reduction from 11.5% to 7.5% within first 6 month
 Established & introduced two SPC methods for Process Control to check the Mix quality at shop floor level.
 Introduced moulding control chart density related rejection.

Roles & Responsibilities: o Vitrified Process of Nagpur Bonded abrasive unit. o Kilns (Tunnel & Batch) Kilns operation & Production. o QA function of Nagpur Bonded abrasive unit. o QC & QA of Nagpur Bonded unit having production capacity of 375 Tons/Month. o Over all rejection reduction & improve input out raw.  Making all Standard Operational Procedures of any new process if included or if require any changes in the existing operation.  Working as an in-charge of Kilns (1 Tunnel & 2 Batch Kilns). Conversant with operation of Bickley, Pullman and Dressler Tunnel Kilns and Batch Kilns for firing and Riedhammer Tunnel & Brands Batch Kilns for sintering.  Providing resolution of Customer complaints & implementing CA&PA at manufacturing sites  Planning Kilns production with monthly production plan & execution throughout the month to achieve the on- time; achieving the Fuel Efficiency, Operational efficiency, hourly production at Kilns at Kilns.  Maintaining stock of Kiln Furniture, Fuels, Refractory, etc. in advance to run production smoothly.  Leading the production team to make a stringent planning & execution throughout the month to achieve the business target.  Carrying predictive maintenance in Kilns to avoid unwanted major breakdown or Loss time.  Maintaining the emergency stock of critical kilns spare parts at department level to get rid of from emergency breakdown.  Generating new resource for Kiln Furniture; ensuring compliance of statutory regulations at Kilns.  Implementing Kaizens, Poka-Yoke, KANBAN and WCM improvement planning, etc. Projects Accomplished:  Improving Sp. Fuel consumption in kilns from 0.34 Ltrs/Kg to 0.29 Ltrs/Kg.  Reducing of variable cost of Kilns from 85 Lacks/Annum to 70 Lacks/Annum @ 375 tons/month.  Carrying out every EMPs & OMPs related projects for Kilns area.  Leading one DMAIC Project of Reduction of Stones Fired rejection from 4.75% to 2.4%.  Working as a Team member for DMAIC project of green waste reduction in mixing & moulding area from 6.5% to 3%.  Responsible to reduce the breakdown time in Tunnel Kiln from 0.19% to >0.09% within first six month & >0.06% within last six month. For Batch Kilns from B/D reduction from 0.28% to 15% in YTD 2010.
