Permanently Displaced Skills and Roles McKinsey estimates that 15% of the global workforce or 400 million workers could be displaced by automation in the period 2016–2030 Brookings Institute estimates that 25 Percent of US Jobs are at risk of being displaced to machines. A new report predicts up to 25 percent of American jobs face a “high risk” of disappearing due to future machine automation McKinsey –Automation and AI will lift productivity and economic growth, but millions of people worldwide may need to switch occupations or upgrade skills.
