I am a specialist in urban health with a focus on health impact assessments (HIAs) and sustainable practices. I recently lead the process and impact evaluation of Oregon Health Authority’s three HIAs of Metro’s Climate Smart Community program by collecting qualitative data through hour long interviews of Advisory Committee members of the HIA and identifying best practices and application of the assessment tool. I also led 15 landfill-bound materials assessments in four months while ensuring two new research staff were adequately trained on best practices, assessment procedures, and methodologies for the written dissemination of findings.
