In 2002, the Smile Foundation was formed by a collection of corporate-level professionals in order to finance a variety of grassroots initiatives aimed at providing healthcare and education to Indian children in need. Based out of New Delhi, India, the foundation achieves its goals through a number of programs.

children in need. Based out of New Delhi, India,
the foundation achieves its goals through a
number of programs. It has developed a series of
pre-schools, non-formal and remedial schools, a
bridge course for drop-outs, a functional literacy
course for women, and family life education for
teenage girls. To tackle health related issues, the
organization has created the Smiles on Wheels
program, a mobile medical service delivery
system that works throughout 172 slums.
