Letter of Recommendation: Asiele David
To Whom It May Concern:
I present this letter of recommendation on behalf of Asiele David. Ms. David has demonstrated a
passion and eagerness for community development and appreciates the various elements of public
health, community engagement, program planning, evaluation, and the benefit of health in all policies.
During her senior year at California Baptist University (2016), she completed her internship in the
Department Public Affairs & Brand Communications with the emphasis in Community Benefit at Kaiser
Permanente, Riverside. I served as her preceptor. During the internship she was involved in various
initiatives and programs organized in the department. Asiele was able to contribute to a place-based
initiative (Healthy Eating, Active Living/HEAL Zone) in Riverside which is a collaborative of many key
stakeholders and residents advocating for policy and environmental change to improve access to fresh
fruits and vegetables and physical activity opportunities.
In addition, she participated in the Thriving Schools Initiative, Grow Riverside Initiative, Healthy
Workforce, and internal communications project. Asiele is skilled in communications, public speaking,
project management and she recognizes the benefits of collective impact to improve the health of
communities.
Asiele is results driven, has a “can do” approach to her work, is flexible, enthusiastic and displays a
confident character. She will certainly be an asset to any organization and in the field of advancing
public health to improve the health of our communities. I recommend Asiele to your organization as
she will be an asset to any department. I look forward to learning about her professional journey and I
will be available as a mentor.
You may reach out to me, if I can be of further support to Asiele David.
Thank you,
