“Fraction”
 Is come from the latin word “fractus” which
  means broken.
 It represents a part of a whole or, more
  generally, any number of equal parts.
 Have three parts:
Numerator
Vinculum
Denominator
Is a mathematical expression which expresses
 part of a whole.
The top (or the first) number in the fraction
It is displayed above a line (or before a slash).
It answers the question, How many?
Latin for "bond", "fetter", "chain", or "tie.
Is a horizontal line used in mathematical
 notation.
Line separating the numbers which means
 divide by.
Displayed below (or after) that line
Indicates how many of those parts make up a
 whole.
Bottom part of the fraction.
It answer question, How many of what?
 Can be classified either proper or improper, mixed numbers
• Is fraction that the numerator and the
  denominator are both positive.
• Is a fraction where the numerator (the top
  number) is less than the denominator (the
  bottom number).Examples are 1/8, 5/6
Top heavy fraction
If the absolute value of the fraction is greater
 than or equal to 1.
Examples are 9/8, 6/4, 8/5.
Is the sum of a non-zero integer and a proper
 fraction.
Is made up of a whole and a proper fraction.
Example 1 ¼ , 5 ¾ ,
Similar and Dissimilar Fraction
• Fractions that has the same denominator.
• Fractions that has different denominator
