structure, including reporting lines.
However, organization design is much more than “boxology”.
Organization design problems are often some of the hardest problems that
leaders face. Finding the right design often requires inventing a new solution to
resolve a dilemma
6. Businesses with a clear and effective strategy navigate successfully through
the ever-changing waters of corporate America. A strategy sets out a clear plan

Culture
Another key to effective organizations, company culture begins around the
mission statement. The culture of a business reflects the interaction of
another important asset, people. Effective businesses reference the mission

7. LEADERSHIP
Strong leaders make or break an organization. Leadership determines
the direction a business will take. Leaders form strategies, create or
modify processes and oversee the bulk of major decisions for a
company. Effective leaders have strong values, communication skills

will make the wrong decisions regarding what to invest in, with often dire
results.
9. Failure at the top

upper management are simply making very bad decisions despite the
resources they have available. Too many managers we work with are too
operational in their outlook.

re-evaluate the structures of our organisations and identify where we need to
re-energise and re-focus. Without doing so, we will fall victim to the
ever-changing requirements of our markets and risk becoming one of those
companies that fall short of industry requirements and end up losing, failing
or even dying.
