2. Microsoft has made a breakthrough in the
world of informational technologies and has
changed the normal understanding of the word
“computer”.
Founded on April 4 1975, Microsoft is mostly
famous in the world for Windows-series and
Office systems (Microsoft). Originally the
company was set up by Paul Allen and Bill Gates,
however Microsoft is usually associated only
with the name of one of them. Nowadays it is a
leading corporation witch provides their users
with platform for mobile and cloud solutions
(Microsoft).

3. As enormously huge corporation
Microsoft consists from 810 sites
(including own property and renting
offices) which are located all over the
world and cover about 41,346,549
square feet, meanwhile the total number
of employee can be estimated as
112,388 people (Microsoft).
It is noteworthy that the corporation has

which is based in Dublin (Ireland)
(Microsoft).

Technologies such as Microsoft Surface Pro 4 have turned the PC
market upside down. Until Apple has pretty different points of view on
the further progress of the iPad tablet and MacBook laptops, the
Microsoft policy is boils down to improve hybrid devices such as
Surface Pro, which can totally replace the modern PC.
4. Being one of the key players and realising that
competition gets harder constantly Microsoft
have been diversifying their production since they
broke into the market of IT-solutions.
That is why today the company has several
absolutely independent segments which are
focused on completely different areas: operation
systems and productivity, mobile gadgets, cloud
solutions, games and even own centres of global
researches (Microsoft).
In spite of this fact, following the user friendly
policy, developers didn’t forget about
collaboration between all of mentioned
platforms.
