  6. What is ChatGPT? AI based tool/chatbot that has the ability to do conversations like humans in very structured way. It uses Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language processing model to generate responses and the model is trained on millions of datasets. What can you ask this tool to do for you? • Write essays or articles • Poems • Emails • Code • ….and many other things.
  7. Can ChatGPT help our Business Analysts? • Yes, it will be gamechanger for the BA community. • Chatgpt is capable of writing structured meeting summary • It can also draft a nice email by extracting information from meeting summary and keep it ready for you to send. • It can create Functional requirements automatically from the verbal conversation summary. • It can act as your personal assistant in doing the work that consumes some your critical time.
  8. How can I access ChatGPT features? • To try out, you can definitely go to official webpage of OpenAI but practical use of it can only be seen when it is integrated with business applications. • Soon, ChatGPT will be incorporated into a wide range of enterprise software, including Dynamics 365, Teams, etc. • After the success of ChatGPT, Microsoft has taken the next logical move and introduced CoPilot to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem. • The true value of ChatGPT will be known once it is integrated into a variety of business apps.
  9. Example tested with ChatGPT model Create a Functional Specification from the following verbal description of a provider: “Whenever a customer is interested in one of the services I provide, I would like to be notified by email with the customer’s data and a preview of what he/she wants, so I can prepare myself to get in touch with him/her and make a service proposal. If a standard service is expected, something that already has a clear scope and pre-defined price, I would like the customer to already schedule this service considering the availability of my agenda that is currently controlled in Google Calendar.” Response from ChatGPT Here is a possible functional specification based on the given verbal description: Title: Notification of New Orders to Service Providers Description: The application should notify service providers by email whenever a customer is interested in one of the services they provide. The email must include the customer’s data (name, email address, telephone number) and a preview of what he/she wants (description of the service) so that the provider can prepare to get in touch with him/her and make a service proposal. If it is a standard service that already has a clear scope and predefined price, the customer must be able to schedule the service directly in the application, considering the availability of the provider’s schedule, which will be controlled in Google Calendar. Functional requirements: • The app should email the provider whenever a customer is interested in one of your services. • The email must include the customer’s data (name, email address, phone number) and a preview of what the customer wants (service description). • The application must allow customers to schedule standard services directly in the application, considering the availability of the provider’s schedule, which will be controlled in Google Calendar. • The application must allow service providers to access the provider’s calendar availability in Google Calendar.
  10. Final Thoughts • We have seen how it can benefit BA’s, programmers, content writers etc, however, if you see, it can be also be used to bypass existing systems and students can even write exams with help of ChatGPT. • It’s time to upgrade our existing systems that were built years ago and let’s not blame the new technology for the misuse.S • Tell me in the Chat, What do you think of ChatGpt? Is it useful or just another buzzword?
