Targeted poor children, black children, and disabled children since he figured no
one would look for them. He would lure children with his kind, elderly face then
torture, rape, kill, then eat his victims.
Had SIX children of his own.
Loved to inflict pain on himself; one way he did so was to
Insert needles all through-out his body, mostly in his pelvic region.
His torture devices he used he called “His implements of HELL”
He wrote to women in the dating section of the newspaper to participate in his
heinous acts of self infliction and murder.
3. BACKGROUND
• had at least seven relatives with sever mental disorders in the two generations
preceding Fish’s birth, including two members of the family who died in institutions.
One suffered from religious mania; one brother was fibble-minded and another
alcoholic.
• His father died when Fish was five years old, and his mother placed him in an
orphanage while she worked to support herself. Records describe young Fish as a
problem child who “ran away every Saturday,” persistently wetting the bed until his
eleventh year. During his stay at the orphanage, Fish was viciously beaten on a
regular basis. Albert would become sexually aroused, which helped to further his
obsession with sado-masochism.
• He had his own children beat his buttocks with paddles studded with nine inch nails.
He inserted a large number of needles into his body, mostly in the genital region,
and burned himself constantly with hot irons and pokers. His children testified that
on nights with a full moon, Fish would eat large amounts of raw meat.

Albert slipped up on these children. He was seen looking at
the two boys and wrote a letter to Grace Bud’s parents
describing how he brutally killed her.

Albert wrote a letter to Grace Bud’s parents
describing how he brutally killed her. Mrs. Budd
recognized the writing to be Albert's. He was known
to have killed fifteen children and mutilated about a
hundred others, in 23 states, but the figures may be
much higher. He tortured, decapitated, drank their
blood and ate several parts of his small victims.
Albert Fish was executed for his crimes in the
electric chair in 1936, totally without shame or
remorse, and excited to meet his destiny.
