What is UAV?
• Unmanned Aerial Vehicle is an aircraft without human pilot on board
• Also known as drones or UAS (unmanned aircraft system)
• Remotely controlled by a certified UAV pilot
• Usually mounted with camera for image recording or connected to
pilot’s monitor for live viewing
• Can be programmed to self land, fly home, follow a locus (path) or a
moving object

integrity (under deck, splash zone, decommissioning, emergency)
• Flare stack – close-up inspection during operation with the usage of
high zoom camera
• Pipeline inspection – leakage can be detected; covers miles of
pipeline in a short time
